Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your AOOCOO USB Type-C KVM Switch:

  1. Connect the Monitor: Use the provided HDMI 2.0 cable to connect your HDMI monitor to the "Monitor" (HDMI) output port on the KVM switch.
  2. Connect USB Peripherals: Connect your keyboard, mouse, printer, U-disk, or other USB 2.0 devices to the four USB 2.0 ports on the front of the KVM switch.
  3. Connect Computers:
    • Use the provided USB-C cables to connect your first computer (Laptop 1) to the "USB-C 1" input port on the KVM switch.
    • Connect your second computer (Laptop 2) to the "USB-C 2" input port on the KVM switch using another USB-C cable.
    • Ensure these USB-C ports on your computers support video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) and data transfer.
  4. Connect Power (Optional):
    • If your laptops require charging or if the KVM switch needs additional power, connect a USB-C power adapter (not included) to the "POWER 1" and/or "POWER 2" input ports.
    • The KVM switch can provide up to 100W Power Delivery to the connected laptops through these ports.
    • Note: If your computers do not need to be charged, the KVM can be powered directly via the USB-C1 and USB-C2 data cables from the computers.
  5. Connect Wired Remote: Plug the wired remote control into the dedicated port on the KVM switch.

There are two methods to switch the shared monitor and USB devices between the connected computers:

  1. Using the KVM Switch Button:

    Press the "SELECT" button located on the top of the KVM switch. Each press will cycle through the connected computers (Computer 1, then Computer 2, and so on).

  2. Using the Wired Remote Control:

    Press the button on the wired remote control. This will also cycle through the connected computers. The remote features a two-color light indicator to show which computer is currently active.
