Important Safeguards

• Read all instructions before operating the toaster.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or toaster in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

• A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
• Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not leave appliance unattended when in use.

Setup and First Use

Placement

Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the toaster.

Initial Use (Burn-Off Cycle)

Before toasting food for the first time, operate the toaster without bread for a few minutes on the highest setting (6). This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this process.

Operating Instructions

Loading Bread

• Insert up to two slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the extra-wide toasting slots.
• The auto-centering guides will automatically position the bread for even toasting.

Shade Control

Turn the shade control dial on the side of the toaster to select your desired browning level from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest).

Function Buttons

Press the lever down until it locks into place. Select one of the following functions:

• BAGEL: Toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.
• DEFROST: Defrosts and then toasts frozen bread.
• REHEAT: Warms previously toasted bread without further browning.
• CANCEL: Stops the toasting cycle at any time and ejects the bread.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Removable Crumb Tray

Troubleshooting

• Smoke is coming from the toaster: Unplug the toaster immediately. This may be due to food lodged inside or a burn-off from initial use. Clean the crumb tray and check for any obstructions.
