ISOTRONIC Ultrasonic Animal Repeller 60300 Instruction Manual

Model: 60300

1. Introduction

The ISOTRONIC Ultrasonic Animal Repeller 60300 is an advanced device designed to deter various animals such as cats, mice, wild boars, birds, and crows from your property. It utilizes ultrasonic waves and a unique flame-shaped flash to create an uncomfortable environment for pests, encouraging them to leave without harm. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your animal repeller.

2. Safety Information

  • Read all instructions carefully before operating the device.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not immerse the device in water. While it is water-resistant, prolonged submersion can cause damage.
  • Do not open, disassemble, or modify the device. This will void the warranty and may cause malfunction or injury.
  • Ensure the device is placed in a location where it receives adequate sunlight for solar charging.
  • Avoid pointing the ultrasonic speaker directly at human or pet ears for extended periods, although the frequencies are generally harmless to humans.

3. Product Overview

Components

  • Main Unit (with solar panel, ultrasonic speakers, LED flash, PIR motion sensor)
  • Ground Stake (for garden installation)
  • USB Charging Cable (for initial or supplementary charging)
  • Instruction Manual

Features

  • Dual Charging: Equipped with a solar panel for continuous charging during the day and a USB port for initial or supplementary charging.
  • PIR Motion Sensor: Detects animal movement within a 110° angle and up to 8 meters, activating the repelling functions.
  • Ultrasonic Waves: Emits high-frequency sound waves that are irritating to animals but generally inaudible to humans.
  • Flame-shaped Flash: A visual deterrent that mimics fire, designed to scare away animals, especially effective at night.
  • Multiple Modes: Five adjustable modes to target different animals and adapt to various situations.
  • Water-resistant (IP44): Designed for outdoor use and can withstand splashes of water.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the charging port on the device and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 3-5 hours.

4.2 Assembly

  1. Carefully attach the main unit to the ground stake by twisting it clockwise until secure.
  2. Alternatively, use the hook holes on the back of the device to mount it on a wall or fence using screws (not included).

4.3 Placement

  • Choose a location that receives direct sunlight for most of the day to maximize solar charging efficiency.
  • Insert the ground stake firmly into the soil, ensuring the main unit is elevated enough to detect animals and emit ultrasonic waves effectively.
  • For wall mounting, select a spot that provides an unobstructed view of the area you wish to protect.
  • The effective range of the motion sensor is 4-8 meters with a 110° detection angle. Position the device to cover the desired area.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the back of the device. Slide it to the 'ON' position to activate the repeller. Slide it to 'OFF' to deactivate.

5.2 Mode Selection

The device features a mode selector dial on the back. Rotate the dial to choose one of the five operating modes:

  • Mode 1: Emits ultrasonic waves at 13.5-20 kHz combined with the flame-shaped flash. Suitable for deterring small animals like mice.
  • Mode 2: Emits ultrasonic waves at 15.5-25 kHz combined with the flame-shaped flash. Effective against medium-sized animals such as cats, dogs, and birds.
  • Mode 3: Emits ultrasonic waves at 25-45 kHz combined with the flame-shaped flash. Designed for larger animals like wild boars and deer.
  • Mode 4: Activates only the flame-shaped flash. This mode is ideal for visual deterrence, especially at night, without ultrasonic sound.
  • Mode 5: Randomly cycles through Modes 1, 2, and 3. This prevents animals from becoming accustomed to a single frequency.

5.3 Automatic Night Detection

The device is equipped with a light sensor that automatically detects dusk. The flame-shaped flash function will activate automatically at night to provide visual deterrence.

5.4 Sensor Operation

The PIR motion sensor detects movement within its range and angle, triggering the selected repelling functions (ultrasonic waves and/or flash). This ensures power efficiency by only activating when an animal is detected.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the solar panel and sensor window regularly with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal performance. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: Ensure the solar panel is kept clean and free from obstructions (leaves, dirt) to allow for efficient solar charging. If the device is stored for a long period, fully charge it via USB before storage and recharge every 3 months to maintain battery health.
  • Water Resistance: The device has an IP44 water resistance rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. However, it is not designed for submersion. In cases of heavy rain or snow, it is recommended to temporarily move the device to a sheltered location to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device not turning on or operating.Low battery charge. Power switch is OFF.Ensure the power switch is ON. Fully charge the device via USB. Check if the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight.
Animals are not being deterred.Incorrect mode selected. Device placement is ineffective. Animals are accustomed to the frequency.Adjust the mode to target the specific animal (refer to Section 5.2). Reposition the device for better coverage. Try Mode 5 (random frequency) to prevent habituation. Ensure no obstacles block the sensor or ultrasonic emission.
Battery life is short.Insufficient solar charging. Frequent activation in high-traffic areas.Relocate the device to an area with more direct sunlight. Ensure the solar panel is clean. Use USB charging as a supplement. Consider reducing sensitivity if constant activation is draining the battery.
Buzzer/Audible alarm is constantly sounding or not sounding.Sensitivity setting too high/low. Malfunction. The device primarily uses ultrasonic waves and a flash. If an audible buzzer is present and malfunctioning, contact customer support. Ensure the device is not in a mode that disables audible alerts if you expect one.
