4. Setup

  1. Download the Tapo App: Search for "Tapo" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install the application.
  2. Power Up: Plug the Tapo P306 into a standard wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. App Control

The Tapo app provides comprehensive control over all smart features of the P306. You can individually control the three smart AC outlets, the three USB ports (as a group), and the smart night light.

  • Individual Outlet Control: Turn each of the three smart AC outlets on or off independently.
  • USB Port Control: The three USB ports (1x USB-C, 2x USB-A) are controlled as a single unit. You can turn them all on or off.
  • Night Light Control: Adjust brightness, set schedules, or enable smart control based on ambient light.

5.2. Voice Control

The Tapo P306 is compatible with major voice assistants, allowing for hands-free control of your connected devices.

  1. Plug In: Insert the P306 into a standard duplex wall outlet.
  2. Secure with Screw: Remove the center screw from your existing wall plate. Use the provided longer mounting screw to secure the P306 through its central hole into the wall outlet.
  3. Adjust Stabilizing Post: The adjustable stabilizing post at the bottom of the P306 can be extended or retracted to fit snugly against the wall, providing additional stability.
