4.2 Using the M40 3X Magnifier
The M40 Magnifier provides 3X magnification and features a flip mount for quick transitions between magnified and unmagnified views.
- To engage magnification, flip the magnifier into position behind the red dot sight.
- To disengage magnification, flip the magnifier 90 degrees to the side.
- Adjust the eyepiece on the magnifier for quick focus to achieve a clear and sharp image.

4.3 Zeroing the Red Dot Sight
Zeroing is the process of aligning the red dot with your point of impact. This should be done at a controlled range.
- Mount the red dot sight securely.
- Fire a group of shots at a target from a known distance (e.g., 25 yards).
- Observe the point of impact relative to your aim point.
- Use the windage (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) adjustment turrets on the red dot sight to move the point of impact towards the point of aim. Each click typically corresponds to a specific change in impact at a given distance.
- Repeat firing and adjusting until the point of impact matches your aim point.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optical clarity, keep lenses clean.
- Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust and smudges.
- For stubborn marks, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
- Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
5.2 Battery Replacement
If the red dot becomes dim or does not illuminate, replace the CR1620 battery following the instructions in Section 3.1.
5.3 Storage
Store the combo kit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Consider using a protective case to prevent damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- Red Dot Not Appearing:
Check battery installation and ensure the battery is fresh. Rotate the brightness knob to an active setting. - Blurry Image (Magnifier):
Adjust the eyepiece on the magnifier for proper focus. Ensure the magnifier is clean. - Difficulty Zeroing:
Ensure both the red dot sight and magnifier are securely mounted and not loose. Verify that the adjustment turrets are functioning correctly. - Red Dot and Magnifier Not Aligned:
While designed for absolute co-witness, minor adjustments to the magnifier's windage and elevation may be necessary to center the red dot within the magnified view.
