1. Introduction

The Temtop C1 Dual Pack CO2 Monitor is an advanced device designed to provide accurate and real-time measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration, temperature, and humidity in indoor environments. This dual-pack offers the flexibility to monitor air quality in multiple locations simultaneously, ensuring a healthier living or working space. Its compact design, long battery life, and intuitive interface make it an essential tool for maintaining optimal indoor air quality.

2. Product Overview

The Temtop C1 monitor features a clear LCD display and simple controls for easy operation. It utilizes a Photoacoustic CO2-Sensor for precise measurements and includes various alarm modes to alert users to elevated CO2 levels.

4. Setup and Initial Use

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the monitor using the provided Type-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the Type-C port on the side of the monitor and the other end to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the display will show charging status.

4.2 Powering On/Off

Long press the Power button (⑂) on the top of the device to turn the monitor On or Off.

4.3 Initial Calibration

For optimal accuracy, it is recommended to perform an initial calibration outdoors in fresh air. Place the monitor outdoors, away from direct sunlight and strong winds, for at least 200 seconds. The device will automatically calibrate itself during this period.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Overview

The LCD display shows the following information:

  • CO2 Level: Displays the current carbon dioxide concentration in parts per million (ppm).
  • Temperature: Shows the ambient temperature in degrees Fahrenheit (℉) or Celsius (℃).
  • Humidity: Indicates the relative humidity percentage (%).
  • Indicator Bar: A color-coded bar (green, yellow, red) visually represents the CO2 level status.
  • Battery Level: Shows the remaining battery charge.
  • Work Mode: Indicates the current operating mode (e.g., ECO mode, Automatic mode).
  • Buzzer Status: Icon indicates if the audio alarm is enabled or disabled.

5.2 Button Functions

  • Power Button (⑂): Long press to turn On/Off. Short press to toggle the buzzer On/Off.
  • Mode Button (⚙): Short press to toggle between display modes. Long press to switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉).
  • Simultaneous Press: Simultaneously long press both buttons to enter auto-calibration state.

5.3 Alarm Modes

The monitor features multiple alarm modes with color-coded alerts and optional audio warnings for exceeded CO2 concentrations:

  • Green: Good air quality (400~1000 ppm)
  • Yellow: Average air quality (1001~1500 ppm)
  • Red: Unhealthy air quality (1501~5000 ppm)

An audible buzzer alarm can be enabled or disabled by short pressing the Power button.

5.4 Dual Detection Modes and Battery Efficiency

The monitor supports dual detection modes, offering an impressive standby time of up to 70 days in ECO mode. This allows for prolonged monitoring without frequent recharging.

5.5 Discreet Operation Mode

The 'no disturb' mode silences sound alarms and minimizes light emissions, making the monitor ideal for nighttime use or in environments where discretion is preferred.

5.6 Smart Connectivity and App Integration

For real-time insights and historical data tracking, the Temtop C1 monitor can connect to a mobile application. This allows users to check air quality at home and monitor their family's respiratory health remotely.

6. Placement Options

The Temtop C1 monitor is designed for versatile placement, featuring a detachable stand and an adsorptive magnetic back:

  • Tabletop Stand: Use the included stand for stable placement on desks, shelves, or nightstands.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your Temtop C1 monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow water to enter the device.
  • Storage: Store the monitor in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Temtop C1 monitor, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. If the issue persists, try charging with a different Type-C cable and power adapter.
  • Inaccurate readings: Perform an outdoor calibration as described in Section 4.3. Ensure the device is not placed near strong air currents, heat sources, or direct sunlight.
  • Display is faint or unreadable: While the C1 monitor has an LCD display without a strong backlight, ensure it is used in adequately lit conditions. If the issue is severe, contact customer support.
  • Buzzer not sounding: Short press the Power button to ensure the buzzer is enabled (check the buzzer icon on the display).
