2. Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

5. Setup and Installation

The ANDTE portable AC unit is designed for easy installation in both vertical and horizontal sliding windows (ideal window size: 32"-47").

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Positioning: Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface near a window and a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation.
  3. Window Kit Assembly: Adjust the sliding window panel to fit your window opening. Secure it in place.
  4. Exhaust Hose Connection: Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the unit's exhaust outlet and the other end to the window panel adapter. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leakage. The hose is 61 inches long.
  5. Initial Placement: After unpacking, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in and operating it. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

6. Operating Instructions

The unit can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel Functions:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through Cool, Dehumidify (Dehu), and Fan modes.
  • Up/Down Buttons: Adjust the desired temperature in Cool mode (63°F to 88°F) or set the timer duration.
  • Speed Button: Adjusts fan speed (Low, High).
  • Timer Button: Activates the timer function to set automatic ON/OFF times.
  • Sleep Button: Activates Sleep mode for quiet operation and gradual temperature adjustment during sleep.
  • Lock Button: Engages the child lock feature. Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air conditioner.

Filter Cleaning:

The air filters should be cleaned regularly, especially in dusty environments or if you have pets. It is recommended to clean them at least once every two weeks, or weekly for optimal performance.

  1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the filter screens from the back of the unit.
  3. Wash the filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filters to air dry completely before reinserting them into the unit.

Water Drainage:

In Dehumidify mode, the unit will collect moisture. When the internal water tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an indicator. You will need to drain the collected water.

  1. Turn off the unit and unplug it.
  2. Locate the drain plug at the bottom rear of the unit.
  3. Place a shallow pan or bucket under the drain plug.
  4. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out. For continuous drainage, attach the provided drain hose.
  5. Once drained, replace the plug securely.

8. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your air conditioner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
