1. Important Safety Information

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.

• Always place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• This appliance has a child safety lock feature to prevent accidental operation.
• The ceramic plate remains hot after cooking. Please do not touch with your hand immediately after use.

2.1 Control Panel and Features

The hot plate features a touch control panel for easy operation. Key features include:

• Touch Control Panel: Adjust temperature, power, and timer with a light touch.
• 120-Minute Timer: Set cooking duration with automatic shut-off.
• Child Safety Lock: Prevents accidental operation by children.

2.2 Heating Elements

Equipped with two powerful ceramic heating plates (7.3 inches and 6.5 inches), the hot plate ensures uniform heating and quick heat-up times. It offers 9 power levels ranging from 100W to 900W.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the hot plate and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

3.2 Placement

Place the hot plate on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. It is designed for use with North American household standard power outlets (120V 15A) and is suitable for kitchens, dorms, RVs, and boats.

3.3 Initial Use

During the first few uses, it is normal and safe for your new burner to emit a slight smoke or odor. This is due to a protective coating on the heating elements and internal accessories, which will evaporate and disappear after several uses. This procedure should be carried out in a well-ventilated area. There is no need for concern.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Plug the hot plate into a compatible power outlet. Press the "On/Off" button to turn the appliance on or off. The display will show "Hot" when the surface is hot.

4.2 Adjusting Temperature/Power

Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the touch control panel to adjust the power level. There are 9 power levels available, from 100W to 900W, allowing for precise control over various cooking methods such as frying, boiling, steaming, and slow boiling.

4.3 Timer Function

Press the "Timer" button to activate the timer function. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired cooking time, up to 120 minutes. The hot plate will automatically shut off once the timer expires.

4.4 Cookware Compatibility

This electric stove top burner is compatible with all types of cookware, including aluminum pans, copper pans, cast iron skillets, and non-magnetic stainless steel pans. It efficiently heats cookware while minimizing heat loss. The heating plates are suitable for pots and pans with a maximum size of 9 inches.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Always ensure the hot plate is unplugged and has cooled down completely before cleaning. The "Hot" indicator light will turn off when the surface is safe to touch.

• To clean the heating surface, wipe with a damp cloth.
• A multi-purpose spray cleaner may be used for stubborn stains.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the ceramic glass surface.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

6. Troubleshooting

If your CUSIMAX Electric Hot Plate is not functioning as expected, please check the following:

• No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 120V 15A outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
• Burner Not Heating: Verify that the appliance is turned on and the power level is set above 0. Ensure the cookware is properly placed on the heating zone.
• Overheating Protection: If the unit overheats, it may automatically shut off. Allow it to cool down before attempting to use it again.
• Smoke/Odor on First Use: This is normal and will dissipate after several uses in a well-ventilated area.
