3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, connect the included power adapter to the DC power input or one of the full-function Type-C ports on your tablet and a power outlet. Allow the device to charge fully. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

3.2 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button located on the top side until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Shut down" from the on-screen options. Alternatively, go to Start Menu > Power > Shut down.
  • To Restart: Go to Start Menu > Power > Restart.

3.3 Initial Windows 11 Setup

Upon first power-on, you will be guided through the Windows 11 setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions to:

  • Select your region and keyboard layout.
  • Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Sign in with your Microsoft account or create a local account.
  • Set up privacy settings.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Touchscreen Navigation

The Hi10 Max features a responsive IPS touchscreen. Use standard touch gestures for navigation:

  • Tap: Select an item or open an application.
  • Tap and Hold: Access context menus or drag items.
  • Swipe: Scroll through content or navigate between screens.
  • Pinch-to-Zoom: Zoom in or out on images and web pages.

4.2 Keyboard and Stylus (Optional Accessories)

If you have purchased the optional detachable keyboard, align it with the magnetic connector on the bottom of the tablet until it snaps into place. The keyboard allows for traditional laptop-style input.

The tablet supports a stylus with 4096 pressure levels for precise drawing, writing, and navigation. Ensure you are using a compatible stylus for full functionality.

4.3 Display Modes (2-in-1 Functionality)

The Hi10 Max can be used in multiple modes:

  • Tablet Mode: Detach the keyboard for a pure tablet experience.
  • Laptop Mode: Attach the keyboard and use the integrated stand for a traditional laptop setup.
  • View Mode: Fold the keyboard back to use the tablet as a display stand.

Windows 11 will automatically switch to Tablet Mode when the keyboard is detached, optimizing the interface for touch input.

5. Connectivity

5.1 Wi-Fi Connection

The Hi10 Max supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for fast and stable wireless internet access. To connect:

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
  2. Select your desired network from the list.
  3. Enter the network password if prompted and click "Connect".

5.2 Bluetooth Devices

The tablet features Bluetooth 5.2 for connecting wireless peripherals such as headphones, speakers, and mice. To pair a Bluetooth device:

  1. Go to Start Menu > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is turned On.
  3. Click "Add device" and select "Bluetooth".
  4. Choose your device from the list and follow the pairing instructions.

5.3 External Display Connection

You can connect your Hi10 Max to an external monitor or TV using the HDMI port or one of the full-function Type-C ports (which supports DisplayPort Alt Mode). This allows for extended or mirrored display setups.

  • Connect an HDMI cable from the tablet's HDMI port to your external display.
  • Alternatively, use a compatible USB-C to DisplayPort/HDMI cable or adapter with a full-function Type-C port.
  • Press Windows key + P to open the Project menu and select your desired display mode (Duplicate, Extend, Second screen only).

7. Camera Usage

The CHUWI Hi10 Max is equipped with a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. To use the cameras:

  1. Open the "Camera" application from the Start Menu or taskbar.
  2. Select between front and rear cameras within the app.
  3. Tap the shutter button to take photos or record videos.

The cameras are suitable for video calls, quick photos, and document scanning (e.g., QR codes).
