4. Component Identification
Familiarize yourself with the various components and connection points of the DY-HV20T module using the diagrams below.

Figure 2: Labeled diagram of the DY-HV20T module's main components and connection points. This diagram identifies the power supply input (6-35VDC), positive and negative power poles, speaker outputs (positive and negative), 3.5mm audio output, volume adjustment knob, TF card slot (maximum 32GB), audio file download interface (Micro USB), and the dial switch for trigger mode selection.

Figure 3: Detailed I/O pinout for the DY-HV20T module. This image shows the TXD/IO0, RXD/IO1, IO2-IO7, One_line/IO4, BUSY, and GND pins, crucial for external control and triggering functions. It also reiterates the location of the volume adjustment knob, speaker parameters, 3.5mm audio output, TF card slot, audio file download interface, and the dial switch for trigger mode.
5. Setup
5.1. Power Supply Connection
Connect a DC 12V or 24V power supply to the designated power input terminals on the module. Observe polarity: connect the positive lead to the "Positive electrode of power supply" terminal and the negative lead to the "Power negative pole" terminal. The module supports a voltage range of 6V to 35V DC.
5.2. Speaker Connection
Connect your speaker(s) to the "Speaker positive" and "Speaker negative" terminals. Ensure the speaker impedance is appropriate for the desired power output:
- For 20W output, use a 4 ohm speaker.
- For 10W output, use an 8 ohm speaker.
Incorrect speaker impedance can lead to reduced performance or damage to the amplifier.
5.3. Micro-SD Card Installation
- Prepare your audio files in MP3 format.
- Insert a Micro-SD card (up to 32GB capacity) into the "TF card slot". Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
- To load audio files, connect the module to a computer using a USB data cable via the "Audio file download interface" (Micro USB port). The module will appear as a removable storage device, allowing you to copy MP3 files directly to the Micro-SD card.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Volume Adjustment
The module features a "Volume adjustment knob". Rotate this knob clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
6.2. IO Trigger Playback
The module supports IO one-to-one trigger playback using its 8 IO ports (IO0-IO7). These ports can be configured to trigger specific audio tracks. The "Dial switch set trigger mode" (DIP switch) allows selection of different working modes, including IO trigger modes.
- Individual Trigger: Each of the 8 IO ports can be configured to trigger a single, specific audio track.
- Combined Trigger: The 8 IO ports can be used in combination to trigger up to 255 different audio tracks. Refer to the module's programming guide (not included in this manual) for detailed combination configurations.
When a DIP switch is pulled to the "ON" end, it represents "1". When pulled to the digital end, it represents "0".
6.3. UART Serial Port Control
The module can be controlled via a UART serial port. Connect your control device to the TXD/IO0 and RXD/IO1 pins. The baud rate is 9600 bit/s. This interface allows for advanced control commands such as:
- Play/Pause
- Song Selection (up to 65535 tracks)
- Volume Addition/Subtraction
- Other broadcast functions.
Refer to the module's communication protocol documentation for specific command structures.
6.4. One_line Single Bus Serial Port Control
The module also supports control via a One_line single bus serial port, typically connected to the One_line/IO4 pin. This method provides similar control functionalities as UART, including play, pause, song selection, and volume adjustment, with a simplified wiring scheme.
6.5. Working Mode Selection (DIP Switch)
The module features a DIP switch with 3 configuration IOs to select up to 7 different working modes. The specific functions of each mode are detailed in the module's advanced documentation. Adjust the switches according to your application requirements.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the module. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the module in a dry, cool environment away from direct sunlight and dust when not in use.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for any available firmware updates. Follow the provided instructions carefully for any update procedures.
