5. Setup & Installation
5.1 M.2 NVMe SSD Installation
The MAIWO Dual Bay M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure features a 100% tool-free design for quick and easy installation. It supports M Key and B+M Key M.2 NVMe SSDs of sizes 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280mm.
- Gently press the button on the enclosure and slide open the bracket.
- Insert your M.2 NVMe SSD into the appropriate slot.
- Secure the SSD using the provided silicone plug.
- Apply the silicone thermal pad and aluminum thermal pad onto the SSD for optimal heat dissipation.
- Slide the bracket back into the enclosure until it clicks securely into place.

5.2 Thermal Management
The enclosure is designed with multiple heat dissipation methods to improve the efficiency and lifespan of your hard drive. This includes an aluminum alloy shell, silicone thermal pads, aluminum thermal pads, and a groove design on the exterior.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Data Transfer
Connect the enclosure to your device using the provided 2-in-1 USB-C to USB-C+A data cable. The USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C output interface supports data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, allowing for rapid file transfers. The enclosure also supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) when your operating system is Windows 8.1 or above, further enhancing transfer efficiency.
NOTE: To access both SSDs simultaneously, you will need two separate data cables, as the enclosure comes with only one. No external power adapter is required for operation.

6.2 Capacity and Independent Operation
The enclosure features two drive slots, each supporting up to 8TB NVMe SSDs, for a total capacity of 16TB. Both bays can operate independently without interference, making it suitable for various data management scenarios.

8. Troubleshooting
- Cannot access both SSDs simultaneously: The enclosure requires two separate data cables to access both SSDs at the same time. The included cable is a 2-in-1 USB-C to USB-C+A, but only one connection can be active per port.
- SSD not recognized: Ensure the M.2 NVMe SSD is correctly inserted and secured with the silicone plug. Verify that your device's operating system is compatible (Windows/macOS/Linux/Android).
- Slow transfer speeds: Ensure you are using a USB 3.1 Gen2 (10Gbps) compatible port on your computer. UASP support is available on Windows 8.1 or above.
- Overheating: The enclosure is designed with multiple cooling features. Ensure proper airflow around the device. If overheating persists, verify thermal pads are correctly applied.
- Cloning functionality: This enclosure DOES NOT SUPPORT CLONE functionality.
