Operation Guide
1. Product Read/Write Function
1.1. Setup: Insert the hard drive(s) into the slots. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port. Connect the data cable to the PC port (and the other end to your computer).
Note: Only the Source port can accept converted AHCI hard drives.
1.2. Power On: Press the power switch. The corresponding SSD indicator light will turn white. If there is an abnormality in disk recognition, the indicator light for that bay will blink red.
Note: If using a used hard drive, it will appear as a new drive in "Computer" and can be read/written normally. If using a new hard drive, it needs to be initialized, partitioned, and formatted before use.
2. New Hard Drive Initialization, Partitioning, and Formatting Tutorial
2.1. Hard Drive Initialization: Right-click on "Computer", then select "Manage" and navigate to "Disk Management". Locate the new disk and initialize it.
Note: When initializing a hard drive, you can choose between MBR and GPT formats. Select MBR format if your drive is 2TB or smaller, and GPT format if it is larger than 2TB.
2.2. Partitioning and Formatting: After initialization, the new hard drive will appear as "Disk 1". Right-click on "Disk 1" and select "New Simple Volume". Follow the on-screen prompts to partition the drive, choosing the desired partition size. You can create multiple partitions by selecting the format option and proceeding step-by-step until completion.
2.3. Completion: Follow the instructions to choose the partition size, then click "Next" to finish.
2.4. Usage: You can then find the new hard drive in "Computer" and it is ready for use.
3. Hard Drive Cloning
3.1. Setup: Insert the hard drives into their respective slots. Ensure the Source slot has the original data disk, and the Target slot has the disk to be copied. The actual capacity of the Target disk must be greater than or equal to the Source disk's capacity for cloning to be possible. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port; the data cable is not required for cloning.
Note: Only the Source port can accept converted AHCI hard drives.
4. Cloning Operation
4.1. Power On: Press the power switch. The corresponding SSD indicator light will turn white. If a disk is abnormal, its indicator light will blink red.
4.2. Initiate Clone: Once the SSD indicator lights are on normally, long-press the clone button located at the bottom right for 3-5 seconds. The 25%-100% blue clone progress indicator lights will begin to flicker. Press the clone button again. The 25%-100% blue clone progress indicator lights will start to cycle and flicker sequentially (the SSD indicator lights will also flicker), indicating that cloning has begun.
4.3. Cloning Complete: When the clone progress reaches 25%, the light will stay solid. This continues sequentially for 50%, 75%, and 100%. Once all progress lights are solid, and the SSD indicator lights are also solid, the cloning process is complete. Turn off the power and then remove the hard drives.
