4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.

  • Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation. Do not place it against a wall or furniture that would block the air inlets or outlets.
  • Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources like radiators or heaters, as this can affect performance.
  • For optimal performance, close all doors and windows in the room where the dehumidifier is operating.

4.3 Power Connection

  • Ensure the power cord is fully extended and not tangled.
  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet with the correct voltage.

5.6.2 Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose)

  • Locate the continuous drain port on the back or side of the unit.
  • Connect the included drain hose to this port. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
  • Route the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage. Do not allow the hose to kink or be elevated above the drain port.
  • With continuous drainage set up, the water tank will not fill, and the unit will operate continuously without needing manual emptying.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
