2. Setup and Installation

The Veise VE07-L Smart Lock is designed for effortless installation, typically requiring only a screwdriver. It is compatible with standard US doors. Before beginning installation, ensure your door meets the required dimensions.

2.1 Door Compatibility Check

Verify your door's specifications against the diagram below to ensure proper fit and function. The lock requires two door holes.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Multiple Access Methods

The Veise VE07-L Smart Lock offers versatile entry options:

  • Fingerprint: Swiftly unlock in 0.3 seconds using the built-in FPC fingerprint sensor.
  • Passcode: Enter your personalized digital code on the touchscreen keypad.
  • IC Fobs: Tap the provided IC cards for quick entry.
  • Physical Keys: Use traditional keys as a backup.
  • DDlock App: Control and manage access directly from your smartphone.
  • Apple Watch: Unlock using the app on your Apple Watch.
  • Voice Control: (Requires Veise G2 Gateway) Integrate with Alexa or Google Home for voice commands.

3.2 Auto-Lock and One-Touch Lock

  • Auto-Lock: The lock can be set to automatically lock after a customized time period (5-900 seconds).
  • One-Touch Lock: Simply press and hold the '#' key for 2 seconds to instantly lock the door.

3.3 Smart Control via DDlock App

The DDlock App provides comprehensive control over your smart lock. You can share eKeys, manage users, set various access codes (permanent, timed, one-time, recurring), and monitor real-time activity logs.

3.4 Advanced Modes

  • Privacy Mode: Activate this mode from the interior to prevent external access, even with valid codes or fingerprints.
  • Passage Mode: Keep the door unlocked for continuous access during specific periods, ideal for gatherings or busy times.
  • Silent Mode: Disable all sound prompts from the lock for quiet operation, useful during night hours.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Veise VE07-L Smart Lock, consider the following maintenance tips:

  • Weather Resistance: The lock has an IP54 weatherproof rating, making it resistant to splashes and dust. However, avoid direct exposure to heavy rain or prolonged submersion. It is designed to withstand temperatures from -35°F to 160°F.
  • Battery Replacement: The lock will provide a battery reminder when power is low. Replace the batteries promptly to avoid interruption of service. The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included).
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the keypad and exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Resetting the Lock

If you encounter issues such as the lock not being found or not entering setting mode, a reset may be necessary. After resetting, the original master code will be 123456. You will need to re-pair the lock with the app.

Reset Procedure:

  1. Locate the reset button on the interior assembly of the lock (usually near the battery compartment).
  2. Using a small tool (like a paperclip), press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until you hear a short beep and the green light flashes once.
  3. To verify the reset, lock your door and enter 123456#. If it unlocks, the reset was successful.

5.2 Security Features and Common Issues

  • Anti-Peeping: You can enter random digits before or after your actual passcode to prevent others from guessing your code.
  • Anti-Cracking: The lock will temporarily disable after 5 consecutive incorrect passcode attempts, enhancing security.
  • App Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the lock's touchscreen is active. If issues persist, perform a reset as described above.
