2. Installing Sensor Batteries
The wireless outdoor sensor requires 2x AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless sensor.
- Insert 2x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
3. Sensor Placement and Pairing
Place the wireless sensor outdoors in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation. Ensure it is within the 200ft/60m transmission range of the main unit.
- After inserting batteries into both the main unit and the sensor, the main unit will automatically search for the sensor signal. This may take a few minutes.
- The outdoor temperature and humidity will appear on the main unit's display once connected.
- If the connection is not established, press and hold the "CHANNEL" button on the main unit to initiate a manual search, and press the "TX" button inside the sensor's battery compartment to send a signal.

This image illustrates the wireless communication between the main unit and the outdoor sensor, emphasizing the convenience of receiving outdoor data indoors.
4. Initial Time and Date Setup (Atomic Clock)
The weather station features an atomic clock that automatically synchronizes with the WWVB radio signal for accurate time. This process may take several hours, especially during initial setup or after a power loss.
- Place the main unit near a window for better signal reception.
- The atomic clock icon will flash during synchronization and become solid once successful.
- Manual Time Setting: If the atomic clock signal is unavailable, you can set the time manually. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for detailed steps on manual time and date adjustment.
