Setup

Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) out to position 2.
  2. Set the time: Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
  3. Set the date: For watches with a date function, pull the crown out to position 1 (halfway). Rotate the crown to adjust the date. If your watch has a day-date function, rotate the crown in the opposite direction to set the day. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may damage the movement.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 0 (normal operating position) to start the watch.

Battery Activation

Your watch comes with a pre-installed lithium metal battery. If the watch is not running upon arrival, ensure the crown is fully pushed in. Some watches may have a plastic spacer under the crown to preserve battery life during shipping; remove this if present.

Operating the Watch

Basic Timekeeping

Once the time is set and the crown is pushed in, your watch will continuously display the current time. The second hand will sweep smoothly.

Indiglo Night-Light

To activate the Indiglo night-light, press and hold the crown firmly. The entire dial will illuminate for easy reading in low-light conditions. Release the crown to turn off the light.

Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (164 feet). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, damp cloth. For the strap, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Battery Replacement

When the watch stops running or the Indiglo light dims significantly, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Strap Care

The green strap is designed for durability. To prolong its life, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and harsh chemicals. If the strap becomes worn or damaged, it can be replaced by a standard 20mm watch strap.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Ensure the crown is fully pushed into position 0. If it still doesn't run, the battery may need replacement.
  • Time is inaccurate: Reset the time as per the 'Setting the Time and Date' section. If inaccuracy persists, the battery may be low or the movement may require servicing.
  • Indiglo not working: This typically indicates a low battery. Replace the battery.
  • Moisture under crystal: This suggests a breach in water resistance. Avoid further exposure to water and seek professional service immediately.
