Setup and Preparation
1. Filling the Clean Water Tank
Remove the clean water tank from the back of the unit. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with warm tap water up to the 'Water' fill line. Add the BISSELL cleaning formula up to the 'Formula' fill line. Replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the unit.

2. Attaching the Cleaning Tool
Connect the desired cleaning tool (e.g., Tough Stain Tool) to the end of the flexible hose until it clicks securely into place.

Operating the SpotClean C5
1. Pre-Treating Stains (Optional)
For heavily soiled areas or tough, dried-on stains, pre-treat the area with a suitable BISSELL pre-treatment spray. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before cleaning.
2. Cleaning Process (Triple Action)
Plug in the unit. Press the power button. Position the cleaning tool directly over the stain. Press the spray trigger to dispense cleaning solution onto the stain. Gently scrub the area with the brush on the tool. Release the spray trigger and tilt the tool to suction up the dirty solution. Repeat as necessary until the stain is removed and the area is clean.

Maintenance and Storage
1. Emptying the Dirty Water Tank
After each use, remove the dirty water tank from the unit. Carefully carry it to a sink or drain and pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
