Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Before first use, ensure the Sport Boom speaker is fully charged. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the speaker's charging port and to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.
2. Powering On/Off
To power on the speaker, press and hold the Power button located on the control panel until the display illuminates. To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the display turns off.
3. Connecting the Microphone
Insert the microphone cable into the MIC input port on the speaker's control panel. Ensure the connection is secure.

Operating Instructions
1. Control Panel Overview

- Power Button: Press and hold to turn the speaker on or off.
- Bluetooth Button: Press to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Source Button: Press to cycle through input sources (Bluetooth, FM Radio, AUX).
- Play/Pause Button: Controls audio playback.
- Track Buttons (< / >): Skips to the previous or next track in Bluetooth mode.
- Volume Buttons (+ / -): Adjusts the main speaker volume.
- MIC Volume Buttons (+ / -): Adjusts the microphone input volume.
- EQ Button: Cycles through equalizer presets.
- Boom Button: Activates or deactivates the bass boost feature.
2. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the Sport Boom speaker is powered on.
- Press the Bluetooth button to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth icon on the display will flash.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "ION Sport Boom" from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the speaker's display will stop flashing and remain solid.
3. FM Radio Operation
- Press the Source button until "FM" appears on the display.
- Use the Track Buttons (< / >) to manually tune to a station.
- To auto-scan for stations, press and hold the Play/Pause button. The speaker will scan and save available stations.
4. Using the Microphone
After connecting the microphone, speak into it while adjusting the MIC Volume Buttons (+ / -) to achieve the desired vocal level. The Sport Boom can function as a portable PA system.
5. ION Sound Control App
The ION Sound Control app provides remote control over the speaker's audio and FM radio functions from your mobile device. Download the app from your device's app store and follow the in-app instructions for connection.
6. Linking Multiple Speakers (Stereo-Link)
The Sport Boom speaker supports linking with another compatible ION speaker for stereo sound. Refer to the ION Sound Control app or the specific instructions for stereo linking provided by ION Audio for detailed steps.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
The Sport Boom speaker has an IPX5 water-resistant rating, meaning it can withstand splashing water. However, it is not designed to be submerged. Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
