1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing Banshee x2 6.0Ah 240Wh Ultimate Output Li-Ion Batteries. These high-capacity lithium-ion batteries are designed as a seamless replacement for Kobalt 40V MAX power tools and original chargers, providing extended runtime and reliable performance for your outdoor equipment.

2. Safety Information

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before using the battery. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

General Battery Safety Warnings:

• Do not disassemble, open, or shred battery pack.
• Do not short-circuit a battery pack. Do not store battery packs haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by conductive materials.
• Do not expose battery pack to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
• Do not subject battery pack to mechanical shock.
• In the event of battery leakage, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
• Keep battery pack clean and dry.
• Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.
• Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.
• Do not use any battery pack which is not designed for use with the equipment.
• Keep battery pack out of the reach of children.
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) marks on the battery and equipment and ensure correct use.
• Do not mix batteries of different manufacture, capacity, size or type within a device.
• Dispose of battery pack properly. Consult local regulations for disposal instructions.
• Do not charge the battery in damp or wet conditions.
• Do not store the battery where temperatures may exceed 120°F (49°C), such as in direct sunlight or inside a vehicle.

4. Setup

Initial Charging:

1. Upon receiving your Banshee batteries, it is recommended to fully charge them before first use.
2. Insert the battery pack into a compatible Kobalt 40V MAX original charger. Ensure the battery is fully seated in the charger.
3. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
4. The charger's indicator lights will show the charging status. Refer to your charger's manual for specific light patterns.
5. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

Installing the Battery:

1. Ensure the power tool is turned off and disconnected from any power source if applicable.
2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on your Kobalt 40V MAX tool.
3. Slide the battery into the tool until it clicks securely into place. Do not force the battery.
4. To remove the battery, press the release button(s) on the battery pack and slide it out of the tool.

Checking Battery Charge Level:

Each Banshee battery is equipped with an integrated charge indicator. Press the button next to the indicator lights to display the current charge level. Typically, four lights indicate a full charge, while fewer lights indicate a lower charge.

Using the Battery with Tools:

Optimal Performance Tips:
