3. Setup

3.1 Prerequisites

• An IMILAB EC4 Hub (sold separately) is required.
• A stable Wi-Fi network connection.
• The IMILAB Home app installed on your smartphone.

3.2 Initial Pairing

1. Ensure your IMILAB EC4 Hub is powered on and connected to your network.
2. Open the IMILAB Home app and log in to your account.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select the IMILAB Spotlight Outdoor Camera from the list.
4. The app will guide you through the pairing process with your EC4 Hub.

3.3 Mounting the Camera

Choose a suitable outdoor location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within range of your EC4 Hub's wireless signal. The camera is weatherproof, allowing for outdoor installation.

1. Secure the mounting bracket to a wall or surface using appropriate screws.
2. Attach the camera to the mounting bracket.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power Management

The camera is equipped with a long-lasting battery, providing up to 6 months of operation on a single charge under typical usage conditions. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification via the IMILAB Home app.

4.2 Video Monitoring

• Live View: Access real-time video feed through the IMILAB Home app.
• Recording: The camera records events triggered by motion detection.
• Color Night Vision: The built-in spotlight enables full-color video recording even in low-light conditions.

4.3 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features motion-only alert capabilities. When motion is detected, the camera will begin recording and send a notification to your smartphone via the IMILAB Home app. Sensitivity settings can be adjusted within the app.

4.4 Storage Options

Recorded footage can be stored locally on the EC4 Hub (via an inserted microSD card, not included) or through optional cloud storage services provided by IMILAB.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Charging the Battery

To charge the camera, detach it from its mount and connect it to a standard USB power adapter using the provided charging cable. Ensure the camera is fully charged before re-mounting for optimal battery life.

5.2 Cleaning

6.1 Camera Not Holding a Charge

• Check Charging Cable and Adapter: Ensure the charging cable and power adapter are functioning correctly. Try a different cable or adapter.
• Verify Connection: Make sure the charging cable is securely connected to the camera's charging port.
• Environmental Factors: Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance. Charge the camera in a moderate environment.
• Battery Health: Over time, all rechargeable batteries degrade. If the camera is old, the battery may need replacement (contact support).

6.2 No Video Feed / Offline Status

• Check EC4 Hub: Ensure the EC4 Hub is powered on and connected to the internet.
• Wi-Fi Signal: Verify the camera is within range of the EC4 Hub's Wi-Fi signal. Obstructions can weaken the signal.
• Reboot Devices: Try restarting both the camera and the EC4 Hub.
• Re-pair Camera: If issues persist, try removing the camera from the app and re-pairing it with the EC4 Hub.

6.3 Motion Alerts Not Received

• App Notifications: Check your smartphone's notification settings to ensure the IMILAB Home app is allowed to send notifications.
