3.1. Buttons and Functions

  • ON / Measure Button: Powers on the device, activates the laser, and initiates measurements.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Device

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The battery indicator on the LCD will show charging status. Charge until the indicator shows a full battery.

4.2. Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press the ON button briefly. The LCD will light up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the C/OFF button for approximately 2 seconds. The device will also automatically power off after 45 seconds of inactivity.

4.3. Unit Selection

To change the measurement unit (e.g., meters, inches, feet), briefly press the ±/U button while the device is on and not in a measurement sequence. The unit displayed on the LCD will cycle through available options.

4.4. Measurement Reference Point

The device can measure from its front edge or its rear edge. Press the Reference Point button to toggle between these two options. An icon on the display will indicate the active reference point.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Single Distance Measurement

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Aim the laser at the target point.
  3. Press the ON button once. The laser will activate.
  4. Press the ON button again to take the measurement. The result will be displayed on the screen.

5.2. Continuous Measurement (Tracking)

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press and hold the ON button for approximately 2 seconds. The device will enter continuous measurement mode, displaying real-time distance as you move.
  3. Press the ON button again to stop continuous measurement.

5.3. Area Measurement

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Function Button (Rectangle Icon) once. The area icon will appear on the display.
  3. Take the first measurement (length) by pressing ON twice.
  4. Take the second measurement (width) by pressing ON twice.
  5. The device will automatically calculate and display the area.

5.4. Volume Measurement

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Function Button (Rectangle Icon) twice. The volume icon will appear on the display.
  3. Take the first measurement (length) by pressing ON twice.
  4. Take the second measurement (width) by pressing ON twice.
  5. Take the third measurement (height) by pressing ON twice.
  6. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.

5.5. Pythagorean Measurement

This mode allows indirect measurement of height or distance using the Pythagorean theorem.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Function Button (Triangle/House Icon) to select the desired Pythagorean mode (e.g., two-point or three-point measurement).
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (e.g., hypotenuse, base).
  4. The device will calculate and display the unknown side.

5.6. Addition and Subtraction Functions

After taking a measurement, you can add or subtract subsequent measurements.

  1. Take a base measurement.
  2. Press the ±/U button once for addition (+) or twice for subtraction (-). The corresponding symbol will appear on the display.
  3. Take the next measurement. The device will automatically add or subtract it from the previous total.
  4. Repeat for multiple additions/subtractions.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the laser lens is clean for accurate measurements.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the device regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
