3. Setup

3.1 Mounting the Light

1. Attach the BR-100RGB LED light to a compatible light stand using the integrated mounting bracket.
2. Securely tighten the locking knob on the mounting bracket to prevent accidental movement.
3. Adjust the tilt angle of the light as needed and tighten the side locking handles.

3.2 Powering the Light

The BR-100RGB can be powered by either the included AC adapter or an optional V-mount battery.

Using AC Power:

1. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC Power Input port on the rear of the light.
2. Plug the AC adapter into a suitable power outlet.

Using V-Mount Battery (Optional):

1. Ensure the V-mount battery is fully charged.
2. Slide the V-mount battery onto the V-mount battery plate on the rear of the light until it clicks into place.

3.3 Initial Power On

Press the 'Power' button on the control panel to turn on the light. The LCD display will illuminate, showing the current settings.

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel features an LCD screen, a multi-function rotary knob, and several buttons for precise control.

• LCD Display: Shows current mode, color temperature, hue, saturation, intensity, and battery status.
• Rotary Knob: Used to navigate menus and adjust values. Press to confirm selections.
• MODE Button: Cycles through different operating modes (CCT, HSI, Effects).
• FUNCTION Button: Accesses additional functions or sub-menus within a mode.
• DMX Button: Activates DMX control mode.

4.2 Operating Modes

4.2.1 CCT Mode (Correlated Color Temperature)

This mode allows precise adjustment of color temperature and brightness.

• Press the 'MODE' button until 'CCT' is displayed.
• Rotate the knob to adjust the color temperature from 2700K (warm) to 10000K (cool).
• Press the knob to switch to brightness adjustment (0-100%). Rotate to set desired intensity.
• The light boasts high CRI/TLCI values of 95+/98+ for excellent color accuracy.

4.2.2 HSI Mode (Hue, Saturation, Intensity)

Access 36,000 colors for creative lighting.

• Press the 'MODE' button until 'HSI' is displayed.
• Rotate the knob to adjust Hue (0-360 degrees).
• Press the knob to switch to Saturation adjustment (0-100%).
• Press the knob again to switch to Intensity adjustment (0-100%).

4.2.3 Effects Mode

Choose from 20 pre-programmed lighting effects.

• Press the 'MODE' button until 'FX' (Effects) is displayed.
• Rotate the knob to browse through the 20 built-in effects, such as welding, pulsation, campfire, lightning, explosion, television, candle, light bulb, breathing, paparazzi, SOS, flame, fade, police car, party, etc.
• Press the knob to select an effect and adjust its parameters (e.g., speed, intensity) if applicable.

4.3 Connectivity and Control

4.3.1 Bluetooth App Control

Control your light wirelessly via a smartphone app (available for iOS/Android).

• Download and install the official Bresser lighting app on your smartphone.
• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the light.
• Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair with your BR-100RGB.
• The app allows control of all settings, including CCT, HSI, effects, and access to 188 LEE presets (600 & 700 series) and 122 ROSCO filter presets (Calcolor, Cinelux, Colorcorrection, Storaro-Selection) from up to 100 meters away.

4.3.2 2.4 GHz Remote Control (Optional)

The light can be controlled by an optional 2.4 GHz wireless remote control (sold separately).

4.3.3 DMX512 Control

For professional studio setups, the light supports DMX512 control.

• Connect your DMX controller to the 'DMX IN' port on the light using a DMX cable.

  • Test the power outlet with another device.
• Light flickers or has inconsistent output:
  • Ensure the power supply is stable and meets the light's requirements.
  • Check for loose cable connections.
  • If using DMX, verify DMX cable integrity and DMX address settings.
• App control not working:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the light.
  • Try pressing the 'Bluetooth Reset' button on the light.
  • Restart the app and your smartphone.
  • Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
• Incorrect color output:
  • Verify the light is in the correct mode (CCT or HSI) for your desired color.
  • Check if any color filters or gels are accidentally applied or selected in the app/DMX.
  • Perform a factory reset if available (refer to advanced settings in the manual or app).
