3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage during transit. Keep packaging materials for future storage or transport.

3.2 Connecting Hoses

  1. Connect the suction hose to the pump's suction inlet. Ensure a tight, airtight connection to prevent air from entering the system, which can reduce pump efficiency.
  2. Connect the pressure hose (e.g., garden hose) to the pump's pressure outlet. The G1" connection size allows for easy attachment of standard garden hoses.

3.3 Priming the Pump

Before initial use, the pump must be primed. This involves filling the pump housing with water to ensure it can create suction.

  1. Unscrew the filling cap on top of the pump housing.
  2. Pour clean water into the opening until the pump housing is completely filled.
  3. Replace and securely tighten the filling cap.
  4. Ensure the suction hose is fully submerged in the water source.

3.4 Positioning the Pump

Place the pump as close as possible to the water source to minimize suction lift. Ensure the pump is on a firm, level surface and protected from direct weather exposure.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Pump

  1. Ensure all connections are secure and the pump is primed.
  2. Plug the power cable into a suitable electrical outlet (230 Volts).
  3. Switch on the pump using the power switch. The pump will begin to draw water.

4.2 Stopping the Pump

  1. Switch off the pump using the power switch.
  2. Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.

4.3 Important Operating Notes

  • Do not run the pump dry. This can cause severe damage to the pump.
  • Monitor the water level in the source to prevent dry running.
  • If the pump stops unexpectedly, check for blockages, air in the system, or power supply issues.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning the Pre-filter

Regularly inspect and clean the pre-filter to ensure optimal pump performance and prevent damage from debris.

  1. Disconnect the pump from the power supply.
  2. Unscrew the pre-filter housing.
  3. Remove the filter basket and rinse it thoroughly under clean water.
  4. Reinsert the clean filter basket and securely close the housing.

5.2 Draining the Pump

Before storing the pump for extended periods or in freezing conditions, it is crucial to drain all water from the pump housing to prevent frost damage.

  1. Disconnect the pump from the power supply.
  2. Place a container under the drain screw.
  3. Unscrew the water drain screw at the bottom of the pump housing.
  4. Allow all water to drain completely.
  5. Replace and securely tighten the drain screw.
