Setup

  1. Attach Hose Hook: Secure the hose hook to the designated slot on the base of the unit.
  2. Wrap Hose: Wrap the flexible hose around the base of the unit for compact storage.
  3. Attach Cleaning Tool: Select either the brush tool or the crevice tool and firmly attach it to the end of the hose handle. Ensure it clicks into place.
  4. Fill Clean Water Tank:
    • Remove the clean water tank by pressing the latch and lifting it from the unit.
    • Unscrew the cap at the bottom of the tank.
    • Fill the tank with clean water up to the 'Full water' line. For enhanced cleaning, you may add diluted vinegar or baking soda solution (refer to 'Recommended Cleaning Agents' section).
    • Securely screw the cap back on.
    • Reinsert the clean water tank into its slot on the unit until it locks into place.
  5. Position Wastewater Tank: Ensure the wastewater collection tank is correctly seated in its compartment.

Operating Instructions

  1. Pre-treat (Optional): For tough stains, you may pre-treat the area with a suitable cleaning solution before using the spot cleaner.
  2. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard 110V electrical outlet.
  3. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the unit.
  4. Spray: Hold the cleaning tool over the stained area. Press the trigger on the handle to spray water or cleaning solution onto the stain.
  5. Scrub: Use the brush tool (if attached) to gently scrub the stained area, working the solution into the fibers.
  6. Vacuum: Release the spray trigger and press the cleaning tool firmly against the surface. Slowly pull the tool across the stained area to vacuum up the dirty water. Repeat as necessary until the stain is removed and the water being extracted is clear.
  7. Dry: Allow the cleaned area to air dry completely.

Recommended Cleaning Agents

The IRIS USA Spot Cleaner is designed for chemical-free cleaning using just water. However, for tougher stains or specific cleaning needs, certain eco-friendly solutions can be used. Always check solution packaging for specific instructions and precautions. Recommended water temperature: 104°F/40°C.

Maintenance

  1. Empty and Clean Wastewater Tank: After each use, remove the wastewater tank by pressing the latch and lifting it. Empty the dirty water and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
  2. Rinse Clean Water Tank: If using cleaning solutions, rinse the clean water tank after each use to prevent residue buildup.
  3. Clean Nozzles/Tools: Detach the brush or crevice tool from the hose handle. Rinse them under running water to remove any debris or residue.
  4. Wipe Down Unit: Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the main unit. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  5. Store Properly: Ensure all components are dry before reassembling and storing the unit. Wrap the hose and power cord neatly around the base.
