1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions before assembly and use of the BABY JOY Baby Bouncer. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• Age and Weight Limit: This bouncer is designed for infants from 0 to 6 months old, with a maximum weight capacity of 20 lbs (9 kg). Do not use for children who can sit up unassisted or weigh more than 20 lbs.
• Supervision: Never leave your child unattended in the bouncer. Always keep your child in view.
• Harness Use: Always use the 3-point safety harness. Ensure it is securely fastened and adjusted snugly around your child.
• Safe Surfaces: Never use the bouncer on elevated surfaces such as tables or countertops. Always place the bouncer on the floor.
• Hazard Prevention: Do not move or lift the bouncer with your child in it. Avoid placing the bouncer near stairs, windows, or heat sources. Keep cords and small objects away from the child.
• Product Integrity: Do not use the bouncer if it is damaged or broken. Regularly check for loose fasteners, worn parts, or torn materials.
• Certifications: This product is ASTM and CPSIA certified, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before assembly.

3. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is required. Follow these general steps to assemble your baby bouncer. For detailed visual guidance, refer to the included instruction manual diagrams.

1. Unfold the metal frame components and connect them as indicated in the manual, ensuring all parts click securely into place.
2. Carefully slide the fabric seat cover onto the assembled frame, ensuring all elastic loops and attachment points are correctly aligned and secured.
3. Attach the detachable toy bar to the designated slots on the bouncer frame. Ensure it is firmly in place.
4. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment for the vibration and music unit, located at the front base of the bouncer. Ensure correct polarity.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Using the 3-Point Safety Harness

The 3-point safety harness is essential for securing your baby safely in the bouncer.

• Place your baby in the bouncer seat.
• Bring the waist straps around your baby's waist and connect them to the crotch strap buckle.
• Adjust the length of the straps to ensure a snug but comfortable fit. The harness should be tight enough so that you cannot fit more than one finger between the strap and your baby.
• Always double-check that the harness is securely fastened before leaving your baby in the bouncer.

4.2 Vibration and Music Functions

The bouncer features soothing vibrations and music to comfort and entertain your baby.

• Power On/Off: Locate the easy-to-operate touch key panel at the front base of the bouncer. Press the power button to turn on the unit.
• Vibration Settings: The bouncer offers 3 levels of gentle vibrations. Press the vibration button to cycle through the settings (low, medium, high) or turn off vibration.
• Music Selection: The unit includes 8 built-in melodies. Press the music button to play melodies and cycle through them.
• Volume Adjustment: Use the volume control buttons to adjust the music volume to a comfortable level for your baby.
• Battery Requirement: The vibration and music unit requires 2 x AA batteries (not included). Replace batteries when functions become weak or stop working.

4.3 Attaching and Detaching the Toy Bar

The detachable toy bar with two hanging toys provides entertainment for your baby.

• Attaching: Align the ends of the toy bar with the designated slots on the bouncer frame and push firmly until it clicks into place.
• Detaching: Press the release buttons (if present) or gently pull the toy bar upwards from its slots to remove it. This allows for easier placement and removal of your baby.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your baby bouncer.

• Fabric Seat Cover: The seat cover is removable and machine washable. Detach it from the frame and wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Do not bleach.
• Frame Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame and plastic components with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly.
• Toy Bar and Toys: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse electronic components in water.
• Storage: When not in use, store the bouncer in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BABY JOY Baby Bouncer, refer to the following common solutions:

• Vibration/Music Not Working: Check if the 2 x AA batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh batteries if necessary. Ensure the power button is pressed.
• Bouncer Feels Unstable: Ensure all frame connections are securely fastened during assembly. Verify that the bouncer is placed on a flat, stable surface and that the anti-slip foot pads are making full contact.
• Harness Not Securing: Ensure the harness straps are properly threaded and adjusted to your baby's size. The buckle should click firmly into place.
