Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to attach the oscillating tool adapter to your angle grinder.

  1. Prepare the Angle Grinder:
    • Ensure the angle grinder is unplugged from the power source.
    • Remove the original grinding disc and any associated flanges or nuts from the angle grinder spindle.
    • Clean the spindle and surrounding area to ensure a secure fit.
  2. Attach the Adapter Base:

    • Loosen the two screws on the adapter's clamp mechanism.
    • Position the adapter onto the angle grinder's gear housing, ensuring it sits flush and securely.
    • Tighten the two screws evenly to secure the adapter firmly to the angle grinder. Do not overtighten.
  3. Install the Oscillating Head:

    • Place the oscillating head component onto the angle grinder spindle.
    • Select the appropriate screw nut (M10 for 100mm grinders, M12 for 115mm grinders).
    • Thread the selected screw nut onto the angle grinder spindle, securing the oscillating head. Use the provided wrench to tighten it firmly.

  4. Attach Accessories:
    • Choose the desired accessory (saw blade or sanding pad).
    • Align the accessory with the oscillating head's mounting interface.
    • Secure the accessory using the provided bolt and washer, tightening it with the socket wrench. Ensure the accessory is firmly attached and does not wobble.

Operating Instructions

Once the adapter and desired accessory are securely installed, you can begin operation. Always follow the safety guidelines.

  1. Power On: Plug in your angle grinder.
  2. Grip: Hold the angle grinder firmly with both hands. The adapter provides an additional grip point for better control.
  3. Start Operation: Turn on the angle grinder. The attached accessory will begin to oscillate.
  4. Application:
    • Cutting: For cutting tasks, apply gentle, steady pressure. Allow the blade to do the work. Do not force the tool.
    • Sanding: For sanding, attach the triangular sandpaper to the sanding pad. Move the tool in a consistent pattern over the surface. Avoid excessive pressure, which can damage the sandpaper or the workpiece.
    • Scraping/Polishing: Use appropriate accessories for scraping or polishing tasks. Maintain control and apply even pressure.
