  • Spray Pattern: The sprinkler can deliver water from a narrow jet to a wide mist. Adjust the nozzle on the sprinkler head to achieve the desired pattern.
  • Spray Distance: The unit has a maximum spray distance of 42 feet. Adjust the deflector on the sprinkler head to control the distance.
  • 360° Rotation: The sprinkler head offers 360° max spray rotation. Adjust the trip levers on the sprinkler head to set the desired arc of rotation.

Auto-Spray Timer

The unit can be set to spray at regular intervals, independent of motion detection:

  • Use the timer dial on the motion sensor unit to select spray intervals of 10, 20, or 30 minutes. This feature can be used for general watering or as a continuous deterrent.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel and motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal performance. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Care: The unit uses solar-rechargeable Ni-MH AAA batteries. If the unit is stored for an extended period, ensure it receives sunlight periodically to maintain battery charge.
  • Winterization: Before the first frost, disconnect the water supply, drain all water from the unit, and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location. Failure to do so will void the warranty due to potential freeze damage.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Sprinkler does not spray when motion is detected.Low battery charge; water supply off; sensor obstructed; incorrect detection mode.Ensure solar panel receives adequate sunlight; check water connection and turn on spigot; clear any obstructions from sensor; verify detection mode settings.
Sprinkler sprays continuously or falsely activates.Sensitivity too high; sensor detecting non-target movement (e.g., plants, wind); timer mode active.Adjust sensitivity dial to a lower setting; reposition sprinkler to avoid false triggers; ensure timer mode is off if not desired.
Water leaks from connections.Loose hose connection; damaged O-ring/washer.Tighten hose connections; inspect and replace O-rings or washers if damaged.
Poor spray distance or pattern.Low water pressure; sprinkler head adjustment.Ensure adequate water pressure from source; adjust nozzle and deflector on sprinkler head.
