Setup
Proper setup is crucial for accurate readings from your Garmin Approach R10. Ensure the device is placed on a flat, level surface.
Device Placement
- For indoor use, place the Approach R10 approximately 8 feet behind the ball.
- For outdoor use, place the Approach R10 approximately 6-8 feet behind the ball.
- Ensure the device is aligned with your target line.

Connecting to the Garmin Golf App
Download the Garmin Golf app on your compatible smartphone. Power on the Approach R10 by pressing and holding the power button. The status light will turn green, then flash blue, indicating it's ready for pairing. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your device via Bluetooth.

Device Calibration

Engage in virtual rounds on over 42,000 worldwide courses using the Garmin Golf app. You can play and compete with up to three other golfers. The Approach R10 is also compatible with third-party software like E6 Connect, Awesome Golf, and TGC 2019 for expanded virtual golf experiences.
