2. Product Features

4. Installation Guide
Before installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications: thickness from 1-3/8" to 2-1/8" (35mm - 55mm), and backset of 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm).

4.1. Door Knob Installation
This video provides a step-by-step guide for installing the door knob component of your ARPHA lock.

- Prepare the Door: Ensure the door is properly drilled for the deadbolt and handle set.
- Install the Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the 'UP' indicator on the latch is facing upwards. Adjust the backset if necessary (60mm or 70mm).
- Install Exterior Assembly: Route the control wire through the door and insert the exterior assembly onto the door, ensuring the tailpiece goes through the deadbolt latch.
- Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the door using the provided screws, ensuring the control wire passes through the designated slot.
- Connect Interior Assembly: Connect the control wire to the interior assembly. Carefully tuck the wire into the designated space to avoid pinching.
- Secure Interior Assembly: Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate using the provided screws.
- Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
- Install Battery Cover: Close the battery cover.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Unlocking Methods
- Keypad Code: Activate the touchscreen by touching it, then enter your valid user code followed by the unlock button.
- NFC Keycard: Tap or wave the provided NFC keycard in front of the lock's sensor to unlock.
- Mobile App: Within Bluetooth range, use the ARPHA app to unlock the door with a single tap.
- Physical Key: Use the backup physical key in the keyhole for manual unlocking.
5.2. Auto-Locking Feature
The lock can be set to automatically lock after 10 seconds to 30 minutes. This feature is configurable via the mobile app.

5.3. Anti-Peeping Code
To enhance security, you can enter up to 16 random digits before or after your 6-10 digit fixed password. This prevents others from observing your actual code.

5.4. Volume Setting
You can adjust the volume of the lock's voice prompts. Press '333' followed by the unlock button to cycle through volume levels (higher or lower).

6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement & Low Battery Alert
The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries, which can last up to 6 months. The lock will provide low-battery alerts to ensure you are never locked out unexpectedly. Replace batteries promptly when alerted.
6.2. Weather Resistance
The lock features an IP54 waterproof design, making it rainproof and capable of withstanding extreme temperatures from -31 °F to 158 °F. This ensures reliable operation in various climates.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. Resetting the Lock
If you need to reset the lock (e.g., before registering new users or if you forget the admin password), follow the instructions in this video.

Method 1: If you remember your admin password
- Press and hold the reset button (located on the interior assembly, usually near the batteries) for 5 seconds. You will hear a voice prompt.
- Enter your administrator password followed by the unlock button. The lock will confirm successful initialization.
Method 2: If you forget your admin password
- Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. You will hear a voice prompt.
- Enter the default reset code '123234345455' followed by the unlock button. The lock will confirm successful initialization.
