Setup

  1. Remove the UNO Dare Adults Only deck from its packaging.
  2. Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
  3. Deal 7 cards face down to each player.
  4. Place the remaining cards face down in the center of the playing area to form the Draw Pile.
  5. Turn the top card of the Draw Pile face up and place it next to the Draw Pile to start the Discard Pile. If the first card is a Dare card, return it to the deck, shuffle, and draw a new one.

Operating Instructions (How to Play)

The game proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you must match the top card of the Discard Pile by color, number, or symbol. If you cannot make a match, you must draw one card from the Draw Pile. If the drawn card can be played, you may play it immediately. Otherwise, your turn ends.

Playing a Dare Card

If you play a Dare card, you face a choice: either perform a dare or draw four cards as a penalty. To determine the level of the dare, roll the included die. The die will indicate which level of dare you must perform (Mild, Medium, Spicy, or Fuego).

If a card with a 'reverse' icon is played, it forces the player who played the Dare Card to perform the dare instead of the current player.

Winning the Game

The first player to play all their cards wins the round. The game can be played in multiple rounds, with points awarded for cards remaining in opponents' hands. The player or team with the most points at the end of the agreed-upon number of rounds wins the game.

Dare Levels

The game features four distinct levels of dares, ranging from lighthearted to more challenging. The die roll determines which level of dare you must attempt.

  • Mild: These dares are designed to be easy and fun, often involving simple actions or vocalizations.
  • Medium: Slightly more involved than Mild dares, these may require more interaction or creativity.
  • Spicy: These dares are intended to be more challenging and may push players out of their comfort zones.
  • Fuego: The most intense dares, these are designed for maximum impact and amusement among adult players.

Maintenance

The UNO Dare Adults Only cards are made from durable, waterproof plastic. To ensure their longevity:

  • Wipe cards clean with a damp cloth if they become soiled.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Store cards in their original packaging or a suitable container to prevent loss or damage. The included clip helps keep the deck together for portability.
  • Keep the die in a safe place to avoid misplacement.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing Cards or Components: Carefully check the packaging. If components are genuinely missing, contact Mattel Games customer support.
  • Unclear Rules: Refer to this manual for clarification. If a specific scenario is not covered, players should agree on a house rule before continuing the game.
  • Damaged Cards: While cards are waterproof, extreme bending or cutting can damage them. Handle with care.
