4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your portable air conditioner:

4.1 Positioning the Unit

  • Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the unit for proper air circulation.
  • The unit is equipped with universal casters and a carrying handle for easy movement.

4.2 Window Kit Installation

The included window kit is suitable for double/single hung windows or sliding sash windows up to 40 inches in length/width.

  1. Adjust the window slider kit to fit your window opening.
  2. Secure the window kit in place.
  3. Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the unit's exhaust port.
  4. Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the window kit adapter.
  5. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leakage.

4.3 Drainage Setup

The unit features a manual drainage hole. During dehumidification or prolonged cooling, water will accumulate. You will need to manually drain the water when the unit indicates it is full.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Jojoka Portable Air Conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

5.1 Control Panel and Remote Control

The control panel features an LED display and touch buttons for various functions. The remote control offers convenient operation from a distance.

5.2 Operating Modes

Press the MODE button to cycle through the following modes:

  • Cool Mode: Provides cooling. Adjust temperature between 61°F (16°C) and 89°F (32°C) using the UP/DOWN arrows.
  • Dry Mode (Dehumidifier): Removes moisture from the air. The fan speed is automatically set to low in this mode.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Select high or low fan speed using the SPEED button.
  • Sleep Mode: Operates quietly for comfortable sleeping. The fan speed is automatically set to low.

5.3 Fan Speed Adjustment

In Cool and Fan modes, press the SPEED button to select between high and low fan speeds.

5.4 Timer Function

Press the TIMER button to set the unit to turn on or off automatically after a set period (up to 24 hours). Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the time.

5.5 Oscillation

The unit can be manually adjusted by 100° vertically and 60° horizontally to ensure wide-range oscillation and even air distribution.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The unit is equipped with a cleanable and washable high-density filter (Hyperfilter Technology) to eliminate dust and particles.

  1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit.
  3. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove loose dust.
  4. For a deeper clean, wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
  5. Reinstall the dry filter into the unit.

It is recommended to clean the air filter every two weeks, or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

6.2 Draining Accumulated Water

When the internal water tank is full, the unit may stop operating and display an error code. Manually drain the water:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drainage hole at the bottom rear of the unit.
  3. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
  4. Once all water has drained, replace the drain plug securely.

6.3 Cleaning the Unit Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
