- Initial Power-On: After completing all connections, apply power to the speedometer. Allow approximately 1 minute for the gauge to acquire a GPS satellite signal.
Important Note for Settings Adjustment:
When adjusting settings that require power cycling (e.g., Odometer, Buzzer, Unit), you must disconnect both the Power (+) and Ground (-) wires before making the adjustment, and then reconnect them. If you only cut power to the positive wire, the settings may not save correctly.

Troubleshooting
- No Power/Display Not Lighting Up:
Check all wiring connections, especially the red (power) and black (ground) wires, to ensure they are securely connected and receiving the correct voltage (9-32V DC). Verify the power source is active.
- No GPS Signal/Speed Not Displaying:
Ensure the GPS antenna is securely connected to the gauge and placed in a location with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky. Allow up to 1 minute for initial signal acquisition. Obstructions like metal roofs or dense foliage can interfere with the signal.
- Settings Not Saving (Odometer, Buzzer, Unit):
Remember to disconnect both the positive power and ground wires before making adjustments to these settings, and then reconnect them. Only disconnecting the positive wire may prevent settings from being saved.
- Display Condensation/Water Ingress:
While the product is designed for durability, ensure proper sealing during installation, especially in marine or outdoor environments. If condensation occurs, check the integrity of the gauge's mounting and seals. Contact support if the issue persists after verifying installation.
- Numbers Hard to Read in Certain Backlight Colors:
Experiment with different backlight colors by holding the button for 5-6 seconds to find the color that offers the best readability in your specific lighting conditions.
Maintenance
The ELING Digital GPS Speedometer Odometer is designed for low maintenance. Regular care includes:
- Cleaning: Wipe the display and housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the plastic.
- Connection Checks: Periodically inspect wiring connections for corrosion or looseness, especially in high-vibration environments.
- Antenna Placement: Ensure the GPS antenna remains securely mounted and has an unobstructed view of the sky for optimal performance.
