2.3 Connecting the Scanner
The YANZEO L6811 offers two connection methods: 2.4G Wireless and USB Cable.
2.3.1 2.4G Wireless Connection
- Insert the 2.4G wireless USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer or host device.
- Turn on the barcode scanner. It should automatically pair with the dongle.
- A successful connection will be indicated by a specific sound or light pattern on the scanner (refer to LED indicator section for details).
- Test the connection by scanning a barcode into a text editor (e.g., Notepad, Word). The barcode data should appear on the screen.

Figure 3: The 2.4G wireless connection provides a stable transmission range of up to 80 meters in open areas.

2.3.2 USB Cable Connection
- Connect the small end of the USB cable to the port on the scanner.
- Connect the standard USB end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer or host device.
- The computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This may take a few moments.
- Once installed, the scanner will be ready for use. Test by scanning a barcode into a text editor.
3. Operating Instructions

- EAN-8, EAN-13
- UPC-A, UPC-E
- Code 39, Code 93, Code 128
- Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5

3.3 Offline Storage Mode
When operating in 2.4G wireless mode and the scanner moves beyond the receiver's range, it automatically enters offline storage mode. In this mode, scanned barcode data is stored internally in the scanner's FLASH memory. Once the scanner returns within range, the stored data can be uploaded to the host device.
To upload stored data, scan the "Upload Data" configuration barcode (refer to the separate configuration guide for specific barcodes).
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Scanner
To ensure optimal performance, keep the scanner clean.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the exterior of the scanner.
- For the scanning window, use a lens cleaning cloth or a cotton swab with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the window.
- Do not immerse the scanner in any liquid.
- Ensure the scanner is powered off before cleaning.
4.2 Battery Care
The scanner uses a rechargeable lithium battery. Follow these guidelines for optimal battery life:
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Recharge the battery at least once every three months if stored for a long time to prevent deep discharge.
- Do not expose the scanner to extreme temperatures.
4.3 Drop Resistance
The YANZEO L6811 is designed to be durable and has undergone multiple 1.5m free fall drop tests. While robust, avoid unnecessary drops to prolong the life of the device.

5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Scanner does not power on. | Low or depleted battery. | Charge the scanner for at least 30 minutes. |
| Scanner does not connect wirelessly. | Dongle not properly inserted; out of range; interference. | Ensure dongle is firmly inserted. Move scanner closer to dongle. Try a different USB port for the dongle. |
| Scanner does not read barcodes. | Barcode damaged; incorrect scanning angle; scanner settings. | Ensure barcode is clear. Adjust scanning angle and distance. Check if the barcode type is enabled (refer to configuration guide). |
| Scanned data is incorrect or incomplete. | Partial scan; data format settings. | Ensure the entire barcode is within the scan line. Check scanner configuration for data formatting or prefix/suffix settings. |
| No data appears on computer. | Not connected; application not in focus. | Verify connection (wireless or USB). Ensure the cursor is in the desired input field of your application. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact YANZEO customer support.
