E9820i Wireless Barcode Scanner User's Manual

Introduction

The scanner features wireless 2.4G, wireless Bluetooth, and USB transmission modes. It also supports firmware online upgrades for both the scanner and the wireless receiver. Upon powering on, the scanner enters interface detection status. If connection data is recognized, it defaults to wired transmission mode; otherwise, it enters wireless transmission mode.

1.1.1 Bluetooth Modes

Operational Modes

Immediate Mode

In immediate mode, upon successful wired or wireless transmission, the scanner emits a short beep and the green light flashes once. If the scanner exceeds the transmission distance or data sending fails, all data is lost. The device will sound three consecutive alarm prompts, and the green light will flash three times.

Pairing Procedures

1.2 2.4G Pairing

  1. Scan the '2.4G Receiver mode' barcode.
  2. Scan the 'Pair setting' barcode. The scanner enters pairing mode (green light flashes quickly).
  3. Plug the USB dongle into the device. A sound indicates successful pairing, and the blue light remains constantly on. (Pairing time is approximately 1 minute; if timed out, the scanner will exit pairing mode automatically).

2. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Scan the 'Bluetooth HID mode' barcode.
  2. Scan the 'Pair setting' barcode. The scanner enters pairing mode (top green and blue lights flash alternately).
  3. On your device, enable Bluetooth, search for "Barcode scanner HID", and click to connect. A sound indicates successful pairing, and the blue light remains constantly on. (Pairing time is approximately 1 minute; if timed out, the scanner will exit pairing mode automatically).

1.2.4G short beep (low first, high after) Save scanning data in storage.
1.2.4G long beep (high first, low after) Scan setting code.
2.4G long beep (low) 2.4G send data fail or cache is full.
2.4G long beep (low) and stop scanning Power off.
2.4G long beep (low) 2.4G Disconnect.
2.4G long beep (high) Scan the Settings code which does not work.
