AMERICAN PHOENIX 10x15 Pop Up Canopy Tent Instruction Manual

Model: 10x15-Tent

1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective assembly, use, and maintenance of your AMERICAN PHOENIX 10x15 Pop Up Canopy Tent. Please read all instructions carefully before setup and retain this manual for future reference.

The AMERICAN PHOENIX 10x15 Pop Up Canopy Tent is designed for temporary outdoor shelter, offering approximately 150 square feet of shade coverage. It features a robust steel frame and a durable 420D polyester canopy with PU coating for water resistance and UV protection.

2. Safety Information

  • This canopy tent is intended for temporary use only. It is not recommended for overnight use or use in severe weather conditions such as heavy rain, strong winds, or snow.
  • Always secure the canopy tent with appropriate anchoring methods (e.g., stakes, sandbags, weights) to prevent wind uplift. Failure to do so may result in damage to the product or personal injury.
  • Do not use open flames or heating appliances inside or near the canopy tent.
  • In rainy conditions, ensure rainwater does not accumulate on the canopy top, as this can cause structural damage. Regularly clear any collected water.
  • Keep children and pets away from the tent during assembly and disassembly to prevent injury.
  • Always inspect the frame and canopy for damage before each use. Do not use if any components are compromised.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

  • 1 x 10x15 Pop Up Tent Frame (Steel, matte powder coated)
  • 1 x 10x15 Canopy Top (420D Polyester with PU coating)

Note: Sidewalls and carry bag are not included with this package and must be purchased separately.

4. Setup Instructions

Assembly typically requires two or more people.

  1. Unpack and Position: Remove the frame from its packaging. With a person at each end, partially pull the frame apart to begin opening it.
  2. Attach Canopy Top: Drape the canopy fabric over the partially opened frame. Ensure the corners of the canopy align with the frame's corner legs. Secure the canopy to the frame using the Velcro attachments along the edges.
  3. Extend Frame: Continue to pull the frame outwards until it is fully extended. The central truss bars should lock into place.
  4. Lock Legs: Locate the plastic switch (hand guard button) on each leg. Press the button and slide the leg extension downwards until it locks into the desired height setting. The tent offers four adjustable heights: 9.5 ft, 9.8 ft, 10.1 ft, and 10.4 ft (maximum peak height).
  5. Secure the Tent: Once fully assembled and extended, anchor the tent using stakes through the footplates of each leg, or by attaching sandbags/weights to the frame.

  2. With assistance, lift one corner of the frame slightly.
  3. Press the plastic switch (push button) on the leg and slide the inner leg up or down to the desired height. Ensure the button clicks securely into one of the four pre-drilled holes.

6. Maintenance

  • Canopy Cleaning: Clean the 420D polyester canopy with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before folding and storing to prevent mildew.
  • Frame Care: Wipe the steel frame with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Ensure the frame is dry before storage to prevent rust, especially the matte powder-coated steel framework.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and connectors for tightness. Ensure all moving parts operate smoothly. Lubricate joints if necessary.
  • Storage: Store the canopy tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prolong its lifespan.
