6. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the light fixture and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
- Placement: The light can be placed on a flat surface using its four foot pads or mounted using the provided brackets. For mounting, ensure the surface or truss is capable of supporting the weight of the fixture. Use appropriate clamps (not included) if mounting to a truss.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit and then to a suitable power outlet.
- DMX Connection (Optional): If using DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's output to the DMX IN port on the light. For multiple lights, daisy-chain them by connecting the DMX OUT of the first light to the DMX IN of the next.
7. Operating Modes
The Moving Head Stage Light offers several operational modes, selectable via the display panel on the unit:
- Sound Activated Mode: In this mode, the light reacts to ambient sound, changing patterns and colors in sync with music or other audio. This mode is ideal for parties without a dedicated DMX controller.
- Auto Mode (Self-Propelled): The light cycles through pre-programmed patterns and color changes automatically. This mode provides continuous dynamic lighting without external input.
- Master/Slave Mode: Connect multiple units via DMX cables. Set one unit as the "Master" and others as "Slave" units. The slave units will then mirror the master's operation, allowing for synchronized lighting effects across multiple fixtures.
- DMX512 Control Mode: For professional control, connect the light to a DMX512 controller. The light supports 13 or 15 DMX channels, allowing precise control over pan, tilt, color, strobe, dimming, and pattern selection. Refer to the DMX channel chart (not included in this general manual, typically found in a detailed DMX manual) for specific channel functions.

- Cleaning: Regularly clean the lens and exterior casing with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild glass cleaner. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
- Ventilation: Keep the cooling fan and ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the light in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case.
