5. Installation
The vanity cabinet arrives fully assembled. The countertop is not attached to the vanity and requires separate installation. Professional installation is recommended, but DIY installation is an option.
5.1 Pre-Installation Steps
- Ensure the installation area is clean, level, and has appropriate plumbing rough-ins.
- Turn off the main water supply to the bathroom.
- Carefully position the vanity base cabinet in its desired location. The open back design facilitates easier plumbing connections.
5.2 Attaching the Sink to the Countertop
The ceramic under-mount sink needs to be attached to the underside of the Carrara Quartz countertop. Use a silicone sealant specifically designed for kitchen and bath applications to create a watertight seal. Follow the sealant manufacturer's instructions for application and curing time.

5.3 Attaching the Countertop to the Vanity Cabinet
Once the sink is securely attached to the countertop and the sealant has cured, carefully place the countertop onto the vanity base cabinet. Apply a bead of silicone sealant along the top edges of the vanity cabinet before placing the countertop to secure it in place and prevent moisture intrusion. Ensure the countertop is level.

5.4 Faucet and Plumbing Connections
The countertop is pre-drilled for an 8-inch widespread, 3-hole faucet. Install your chosen faucet according to its manufacturer's instructions. Connect the hot and cold water supply lines and the drain assembly. Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks.
5.5 Backsplash Installation
Apply a silicone sealant to the back edge of the countertop and carefully place the backsplash against the wall. Ensure it is level and firmly pressed into place. Apply a small bead of sealant along the top edge of the backsplash where it meets the wall for a finished look and moisture protection.
6. Operation
Your ARIEL Hamlet vanity is designed for ease of use and durability.
6.1 Soft-Closing Doors and Drawers
The vanity features soft-closing hinges on the doors and full-extension soft-closing slides on the drawers. This mechanism allows for quiet and gentle closing, preventing slamming and extending the lifespan of the components. Simply push the door or drawer gently, and the soft-close mechanism will engage to close it smoothly.

6.2 Dovetail Drawer Construction

7. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will preserve the beauty and functionality of your vanity.
7.1 Cabinet Care (Solid Hardwood)
- Clean the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or ammonia-based products, as these can damage the finish.
- Wipe up spills immediately to prevent water damage or staining.
- Periodically polish with a non-silicone furniture polish to maintain luster.
7.2 Countertop Care (Carrara Quartz)
- Clean daily with a mild soap and water solution and a soft cloth.
- For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive household cleaner. Avoid strong alkaline or acidic cleaners.
- Quartz is highly resistant to stains and scratches but is not impervious. Avoid direct contact with hot items (use trivets) and sharp objects.
- Do not use abrasive pads or steel wool, which can dull the surface.
7.3 Hardware Care (Brushed Nickel)
- Clean hardware with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes that can scratch or remove the finish.
8. Troubleshooting
Refer to this section for solutions to common issues.
8.1 Soft-Closing Mechanism Not Functioning
- Issue: Door or drawer does not soft-close properly.
- Solution: Check for any obstructions in the hinge or drawer slide mechanism. Ensure the door/drawer is properly aligned and not binding. Some soft-close mechanisms have adjustable tension; refer to the hinge/slide manufacturer's instructions if applicable.
8.2 Water Leaks
- Issue: Water leaking from plumbing connections.
- Solution: Turn off the water supply immediately. Inspect all connections (faucet, supply lines, drain) for proper tightening and sealing. Ensure plumber's tape or sealant was used correctly. If leaks persist, consult a qualified plumber.
8.3 Drawer Alignment Issues
- Issue: Drawers appear crooked or do not slide smoothly.
- Solution: Check if the vanity itself is level. Most drawer slides have adjustment screws to fine-tune alignment. Refer to the drawer slide manufacturer's instructions for specific adjustment procedures.
