1. Product Overview
This manual provides instructions for the VECHTEL 8 CORE 6G+128G Android 13 car radio, designed for Honda CRV models from 2012 to 2016. This unit features a 9-inch IPS touchscreen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, GPS navigation, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, Steering Wheel Control (SWC), Digital Sound Processor (DSP), and includes a backup camera.

3. Setup and Installation
This car radio is specifically designed for Honda CRV 2012-2016 models. Professional installation is recommended.
3.1 Compatibility Check
Before installation, verify the compatibility of the wiring harness by checking the back interface of your original car radio. Refer to the image below for guidance.

3.2 Wiring Connections
Connect the provided cables to the corresponding ports on the car radio and your vehicle's wiring system. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.3 Amplifier Connection (If Applicable)
If your vehicle's amplifier is not working after installation, connect the AMP-CONT cable to the red ACC cable in the wiring harness.

3.4 Screen Power Off Issue
If the screen does not turn off after the engine is turned off, you may need to modify the wiring. Cut the yellow wire in the middle, closest to the protocol box, and connect it to the ACC fuse of the original car. The other end of the cut yellow wire is usually not connected and should be wrapped with insulating tape.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto
The unit supports both wireless and wired connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows for seamless integration of your smartphone for navigation, music, calls, and more. Voice control via Siri is also supported.
- Wireless Connection: Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your smartphone and connect to the car radio's corresponding network. Follow the on-screen prompts to establish the CarPlay or Android Auto connection.
- Wired Connection: Connect your smartphone to the car radio via a USB cable. The system should automatically detect and launch CarPlay or Android Auto.

4.2 GPS Navigation & Wi-Fi
The unit supports both online and offline navigation. Connect to Wi-Fi to download offline maps or use online navigation services. Wi-Fi also enables downloading various applications from the app store.
- Online Navigation: Connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., from your phone) to use real-time navigation apps.
- Offline Maps: Download map data for your region via Wi-Fi for navigation without an internet connection.
- App Downloads: Use the Wi-Fi connection to access the app store and download additional applications.

4.3 Bluetooth 5.0
Bluetooth 5.0 provides stable and fast connections for hands-free calling and audio streaming.
- Pairing: Go to the Bluetooth settings on the car radio and your phone. Search for available devices and select the car radio to pair.
- Functions: Once paired, you can make/receive calls, play music, and access phone contacts directly from the car radio.

4.4 FM/RDS Radio
Access local radio stations with FM/RDS functionality. RDS provides additional information like station name and song title.
- Tuning: Use the on-screen controls to scan for stations or manually tune to a specific frequency.
- Presets: Save your favorite stations for quick access.
4.5 Steering Wheel Control (SWC)
Control the car radio functions directly from your vehicle's steering wheel buttons for a safer driving experience.
- Configuration: Access the SWC settings in the car radio menu to map your steering wheel buttons to specific functions (e.g., volume, track skip, mode).

4.6 HD Rear Camera
The included waterproof night vision camera provides clear reversing images, aiding in parking and improving safety.
- Activation: The camera view automatically displays when the vehicle is shifted into reverse.
- Trackline: If the reverse trackline is not displayed, navigate to Car info app > About > Custom set and enable Show static trackline.
4.7 Mirror Link
Mirror Link allows you to display your smartphone's screen directly onto the car radio's display, supporting both Android and iOS devices.

4.8 Split-Screen Display & UI Themes
The 9-inch IPS HD touchscreen supports split-screen display, allowing you to run two applications simultaneously. You can also customize the interface with various UI themes.
- Split-Screen: Long-press an app icon and drag it to one side of the screen to activate split-screen mode.
- UI Themes: Access the settings menu to browse and apply different UI themes to personalize your car radio's appearance.

- Amplifier Not Working: Ensure the AMP-CONT cable is connected to the red ACC cable. Refer to Section 3.3.
- Screen Does Not Turn Off: If the screen remains on after the engine is off, follow the instructions in Section 3.4 regarding the yellow wire and ACC fuse connection.
- Reverse Trackline Not Displayed: Go to Car info app > About > Custom set and activate Show static trackline.
- Connectivity Issues (CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi): Ensure all cables are securely connected. Try restarting the car radio and your smartphone. Check Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings on both devices.
- No Sound/Static: Verify speaker connections and amplifier wiring. Check audio settings on the car radio, including DSP equalizer settings.
7. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your VECHTEL car radio, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Software Updates: Periodically check for available software updates through the system settings or the manufacturer's website to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes.
