Setup and Connectivity

Tri-Mode Connection

The ROYALAXE Y98 keyboard offers three versatile connection modes: wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth.

• Wired Mode: Connect the keyboard to your device using the provided USB-C coiled aviator cable. This mode also charges the keyboard.
• 2.4GHz Wireless Mode: Insert the 2.4GHz USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The dongle is conveniently stored in a hidden compartment at the back of the keyboard. Switch the mode selector on the keyboard to 2.4G.
• Bluetooth Mode: The keyboard supports Bluetooth 3.0/5.0 and can connect to up to five devices simultaneously. Switch the mode selector to BT. To pair, press and hold Fn + Q/W/E/R/T to enter pairing mode for the respective channel. The indicator light will flash, indicating it's ready to pair. Select "ROYALAXE Y98" from your device's Bluetooth settings.

Adjusting Typing Angle

The keyboard includes two sets of magnetic feet, allowing you to adjust the typing angle for optimal comfort. Simply attach the desired feet to the magnetic points on the underside of the keyboard.

RGB Lighting Control

• Hot-Swappable Switches: Use the included switch puller to carefully remove switches. Insert new 5-pin or 3-pin compatible switches, ensuring pins are aligned before pressing down. Note: Not compatible with Cherry switches.
• PBT Keycaps: Use the included keycap puller to remove keycaps. PBT keycaps are oil-resistant and durable.
