4. Installation Instructions

2. Remove the Old Gear Display Plastic Cover: Carefully use a plastic pry tool to gently lift and remove the existing gear display plastic cover from the top of the shift knob. Exercise caution to avoid scratching surrounding surfaces.



3. Unscrew the Retaining Screw: Once the display cover is removed, locate the small screw underneath. Use the appropriate screwdriver (often a Torx or Phillips head) to remove this screw.



4. Remove the Old Shift Knob Cover: With the screw removed, the old shift knob cover can now be carefully detached. It may require gentle wiggling or prying to release any remaining clips.
5. Swap the Plastic Retainer: Transfer the internal plastic retainer clip from the old shift knob cover to the new Jaronx cover. This component is crucial for proper fitment and is typically not included with the new cover.



6. Install the New Shift Knob Cover: Align the new Jaronx gear shift knob cover with the shift lever and press it firmly into place until it clicks securely. Ensure all clips engage properly.



7. Reinstall the Retaining Screw: Insert and tighten the retaining screw to secure the new cover.
8. Reinstall the Gear Display Plastic Cover: Snap the gear display plastic cover back into its original position on top of the new shift knob cover.
9. Test Functionality: Gently operate the shift lever through all gears (P, R, N, D, M/S) to ensure proper movement and engagement. Verify that the indicator lights function correctly.
