2. Product Overview

The Transformers Legacy United Deluxe Class G1 Universe Optimus Prime is a 5.5-inch action figure inspired by the Transformers G1 animated series. This figure converts between robot and truck modes in 16 steps and features articulated head, arms, and legs for dynamic posing.

3. Setup and Accessories

Upon unboxing, ensure all components are present. The Optimus Prime figure comes with several accessories to enhance play and display.

Accessory Attachment:

• Blasters: Both blaster accessories can be held in either of Optimus Prime's hands. One blaster is blast effect compatible.
• Energon Axe: The Energon axe slides over Optimus Prime's fist.
• Matrix of Leadership: The translucent blue Matrix of Leadership can be placed inside Optimus Prime's chest compartment. To access, gently pull down the chest plate.

4. Transformation Instructions

The Optimus Prime figure converts between robot and truck modes in 16 steps. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper transformation.

Robot to Truck Mode (16 Steps):

1. Remove all accessories from the figure.
2. Open the back section of the figure and fold the head down and around, then close the back section.
3. Rotate the fists inward and fold them into the forearms.
4. Bring the arms forward and snap them into place over the chest section, forming the cab's sides.
5. Fold the legs up and back to form the truck's rear section. Ensure the tabs on the legs align with the slots in the thigh area.
6. Snap the leg sections together to complete the truck mode.

Truck to Robot Mode:

To convert the figure back to robot mode, reverse the steps outlined above.

5. Articulation and Posing

The Optimus Prime figure features multiple points of articulation for various action poses:

• Head: Ball joint for full rotation and up/down movement.
• Arms: Full 360-degree rotation at the shoulders, bicep swivel, and elbow bend.
• Waist: Rotational movement at the waist.
• Legs: Forward, backward, and outward movement at the hips, knee bend, and ankle tilt.

6. Weapon Storage in Vehicle Mode

In truck mode, the included accessories can be stored on the figure:

• The two blasters can peg into the rear section of the truck.
• The Energon axe can also peg into the rear section alongside the blasters.

Additionally, this figure is compatible with some original G1 Optimus Prime trailers, allowing for expanded display options.

• Loose Joints: For loose joints, a thin layer of clear nail polish or a specialized joint tightener can be applied to the ball joint or peg, allowed to dry, and then reassembled.
• Transformation Difficulties: Refer to the official transformation video or the included instructions for detailed visual guidance. Ensure all parts are aligned correctly before applying force.
• Fist Transformation: Some figures may have a very tight right fist that does not fully retract during transformation. Gentle manipulation or warming the plastic slightly may help, but proceed with caution to avoid damage.
