2. Setup Guide
2.1 Charging the Batteries
The walkie talkies come with built-in 1800mAh lithium batteries. Before first use, fully charge both units.
- Connect the 2-in-1 USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on each walkie talkie.
- Plug the USB-C cable into the provided charge adapter.
- Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- The charging indicator on the walkie talkie will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.
- Once fully charged, the walkie talkies offer up to 72 hours of standby time.

2.2 Attaching the Belt Clip
To attach the belt clip, align it with the designated slots on the back of the walkie talkie and slide it down until it clicks into place. To remove, lift the tab and slide the clip upwards.
3. Operating Instructions

3.2 Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment
- Power On: Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Rotate the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the screen turns off.
- Volume Adjustment: Continue rotating the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase volume or counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
3.3 Setting Channels and Privacy Codes
For effective communication, all walkie talkies in your group must be set to the same channel and privacy code.
- Channel Selection: Press the MENU button. The channel number on the LCD will flash. Use the UP (▲) or DOWN (▼) buttons to select your desired channel (1-22). Press MENU again to confirm.
- Privacy Code (CTCSS/DCS) Selection: After selecting the channel, press MENU again. The privacy code number will flash. Use the UP (▲) or DOWN (▼) buttons to select a privacy code (0-121). Press MENU to confirm and exit, or CALL to exit without saving.
3.4 Transmitting and Receiving
- To Transmit (Talk): Press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button located on the side of the walkie talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone, holding the walkie talkie approximately 2-3 inches from your mouth. Release the PTT button when finished speaking.
- To Receive: Ensure the PTT button is not pressed. The walkie talkie will automatically receive transmissions on the selected channel and privacy code.
- Call Tone: Press the CALL button to send an audible call tone to other walkie talkies on the same channel and privacy code.
3.5 NOAA Weather Radio
The walkie talkies can receive NOAA weather alerts, providing real-time information on severe weather conditions.
- Press the LOCK/NOAA button to activate the NOAA weather scan mode.
- The walkie talkie will scan through the 10 available NOAA weather channels.
- To exit NOAA weather mode, press the LOCK/NOAA button again.

3.6 LED Flashlight
The built-in LED flashlight provides convenient illumination.
- Press the LED Flashlight Button (located below the PTT button) to turn the flashlight on.
- Press the button again to turn the flashlight off.

3.7 VOX (Voice-Activated Transmission)
VOX allows hands-free operation. When activated, the walkie talkie will transmit automatically when it detects your voice.
- Press the MENU button multiple times until the VOX icon appears on the LCD.
- Use the UP (▲) or DOWN (▼) buttons to select the VOX sensitivity level (e.g., 1-3, with 3 being most sensitive). Select 'OFF' to disable VOX.
- Press MENU to confirm and exit.
3.8 Keypad Lock
The keypad lock prevents accidental changes to your settings.
- To lock the keypad, press and hold the LOCK/NOAA button until the lock icon appears on the LCD.
- To unlock, press and hold the LOCK/NOAA button again until the lock icon disappears.
