5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Dasaita Radio Upgrade, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the QLED touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for system updates via the unit's settings menu. Keeping the software updated ensures access to the latest features, performance improvements, and security patches.
  • Connection Checks: Occasionally inspect all cable connections at the back of the unit to ensure they remain secure, especially after off-road driving or significant vehicle vibrations.
  • Environmental Care: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. While designed for automotive use, excessive heat or cold can affect electronic components.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Dasaita Radio Upgrade, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • No Power: Check all power cable connections. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on (ACC). Verify the fuse for the radio circuit in your vehicle's fuse box.
  • No Sound: Check speaker connections. Ensure the volume is not muted or set to zero. Verify amplifier settings in the DTS audio menu.
  • Touchscreen Unresponsive: Perform a soft reset by pressing the RST button (if available) or by turning off the vehicle's ignition for a few minutes. Ensure the screen is clean and free of debris.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on both the head unit and your smartphone. Forget the device on both ends and attempt to pair again. Check for any software updates for both the head unit and your phone.
  • Backup Camera Not Displaying: Verify the camera input cable is securely connected to the correct port on the head unit. Ensure the vehicle is in reverse gear. If the factory OEM reverse camera is not working, swap the yellow Cam In plug from the white camera plug (if applicable).
  • GPS Signal Issues: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear line of sight to the sky (e.g., on the dashboard, away from metal obstructions).

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Dasaita customer support for further assistance.
