Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ORICO Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power/Device Not Recognized:
    • Ensure the 130W power adapter is securely connected to both the dock and a working power outlet.
    • Verify the Thunderbolt 4 cable is firmly connected between your computer and the dock's host port.
    • Try restarting your computer and the docking station.
  • No Display Output:
    • Check that display cables (HDMI/DisplayPort) are securely connected to both the dock and the monitor.
    • Confirm your monitor is set to the correct input source.
    • Ensure your computer's display settings are configured to extend or mirror the display.
    • Remember M1/M2/M3 chip laptops may be limited to a single external display.
  • Slow Data Transfer Speeds:
    • Ensure you are using the provided Thunderbolt 4 cable for the host connection.
    • Verify that the connected peripheral supports the expected speed (e.g., a USB 2.0 device will not achieve 40Gbps).
    • Avoid connecting too many high-bandwidth devices simultaneously if performance drops.
  • Intermittent Connections:
    • Check all cable connections for looseness.
    • Ensure your computer's drivers are up to date.
    • Minimize electromagnetic interference from other electronic devices.
