Setup and Preparation
- Charge the Battery: Connect the battery pack to the fast charger and plug the charger into a power outlet. Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Prepare the Work Area: Ensure the area is clean, well-ventilated, and free from obstructions. Cover any surfaces not intended for painting.
- Prepare the Paint:
- Stir the paint thoroughly.
- Test the paint viscosity using the provided measuring cup. Fill the cup with paint and time how long it takes for the paint to flow out completely. Refer to your paint manufacturer's recommendations for ideal spray viscosity. If the paint is too thick, thin it with the appropriate solvent (water for latex, mineral spirits for oil-based) until the desired viscosity is achieved.
- Fill the Container: Unscrew the paint container from the spray gun. Pour the prepared paint into the container, ensuring not to overfill. Securely reattach the container to the spray gun.
- Select Spray Pattern: Rotate the adjustable nozzle to select the desired spray pattern:
- Horizontal: For spraying horizontal surfaces.
- Vertical: For spraying vertical surfaces.
- Circular: For small areas or detailed work.

- Install Battery: Slide the charged 20V battery pack into the battery slot on the spray gun until it clicks into place.
Operating Instructions
- Test Spray: Before applying paint to your project, perform a test spray on a piece of scrap material to check the spray pattern and flow rate. Adjust the variable speed switch and nozzle as needed.
- Spraying Technique:
- Hold the spray gun approximately 6-12 inches (15-30 cm) from the surface.
- Maintain a consistent distance and speed for an even finish.
- Move the spray gun in smooth, overlapping passes.
- Release the trigger at the end of each pass to avoid paint buildup.
- Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat to prevent drips and runs.

Figure 5: Examples of the INGCO paint sprayer being used for different applications.
- Adjusting Flow: Use the flow adjustable design knob (typically located near the trigger) to increase or decrease the paint flow rate according to your needs and paint consistency.
- Stopping Operation: Release the trigger to stop spraying. For longer breaks, remove the battery pack.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning after each use is crucial for the longevity and performance of your paint spray machine.
- Disconnect Power: Always remove the battery pack before cleaning.
- Empty Paint Container: Unscrew the paint container and pour any remaining paint back into its original can.
- Initial Rinse: Fill the container with the appropriate cleaning solution (water for latex paint, mineral spirits for oil-based paint). Reattach the container and spray the cleaning solution into a waste container until clear.
- Disassemble and Clean:
- Press the quick disassembly button to separate the front end of the spray gun.
- Carefully remove the nozzle, air cap, and paint tube.
- Clean all disassembled parts thoroughly with the appropriate cleaning solution and a brush. Use the nozzle cleaning needle to clear any blockages in the nozzle.
- Wipe down the exterior of the spray gun with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main body in liquid.
- Reassemble: Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling the spray gun.
- Storage: Store the clean, dry spray gun in a safe, dry place.
