4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape. Inspect the refrigerator for any damage. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

4.2 Placement

• Place the refrigerator on a firm, level surface to prevent vibrations and noise.
• Ensure adequate ventilation. Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm (4 inches) from the back wall and 5 cm (2 inches) from the sides to allow for proper air circulation.
• Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., stoves, radiators) to optimize cooling efficiency.
• Do not install in areas with high humidity.

4.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution. Wipe dry thoroughly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Control

The temperature inside the refrigerator is controlled by a thermostat dial, usually located inside the fresh food compartment. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling level. A higher number typically indicates colder temperatures. Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed based on ambient temperature and food load.

5.2 Manual Defrosting

As a direct-cool refrigerator, frost will accumulate in the freezer compartment. Manual defrosting is required when the frost layer reaches approximately 5mm (0.2 inches) thick.

1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
2. Remove all food items from the freezer and fresh food compartments. Store perishable items in a cooler.
3. Leave the refrigerator door open to allow the frost to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the appliance.
4. Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
5. Plug the refrigerator back in and allow it to cool for a few hours before returning food items.

5.3 Food Storage Guidelines

• Store cooked foods and dairy products on upper shelves.
• Raw meat and fish should be stored on the lowest shelf, in sealed containers, to prevent dripping onto other foods.
• Fruits and vegetables should be stored in the vegetable crisper drawer.
• Ensure all food is covered or sealed to prevent odor transfer and maintain freshness.
• Avoid placing hot food directly into the refrigerator; allow it to cool down first.

6.1 Cleaning the Interior

Clean the interior regularly with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. For stubborn stains, use a baking soda solution. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. The anti-bacterial gasket can be easily removed for cleaning.
