5. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Charge the Device: Connect the provided USB power cable to the DC 5V charging port on the rear panel and plug the other end into a 5V USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The power/battery indicator will show charging status.
  2. Connect Microphone: Insert your 3.5mm microphone into the "MIC" input jack on the front panel.
  3. Connect Output (Optional):
    • For headphone monitoring, connect your headphones to the "PHONES" port on the rear panel.
    • For recording to a mobile phone or other device, connect the provided 3.5mm headphone cable from the "REC OUT" port on the rear panel to your recording device's audio input.
  4. Power On: Press and hold the Volume knob on the front panel to power on the amplifier.

6. Operating Instructions

Once set up, operate your MIC-1000 amplifier as follows:

  1. Adjust Gain: Use the Gain Switch on the rear panel to select the desired amplification level. The up position provides 40dB gain (100x amplification), suitable for most standard use. The down position provides 60dB gain (1000x amplification) for capturing very weak sounds or for microphones with low output.
  2. Monitor Audio: If headphones are connected to the "PHONES" port, you can directly monitor the amplified audio.
  3. Record Audio: If connected to a recording device via the "REC OUT" port, begin recording on your external device. The amplifier will provide a clear, boosted signal.
  4. Adjust Volume: Rotate the Volume knob on the front panel to control the output volume to your headphones or recording device.
  5. Automatic Level Control (ALC): The amplifier features ALC to automatically adjust the input level, preventing distortion and ensuring consistent audio output, especially useful for dynamic sound sources.
  6. Power Off: Press and hold the Volume knob to power off the amplifier when not in use.

7. Maintenance
