Setup

Before first use, perform the following setup steps:

  1. Unpacking and Inspection:

Remove the generator from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your dealer immediately.

  2. Add Engine Oil:

The generator is shipped without engine oil. Place the generator on a level surface. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick. Using the provided funnel, slowly add the recommended engine oil (SAE 10W-30 is typically recommended for general use) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill. Refer to the oil capacity in the specifications section.

  3. Add Fuel:

Ensure the generator is off and cooled. Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Fill the fuel tank slowly to avoid spills, leaving a small air gap at the top. Do not overfill. Securely replace the fuel cap.

  4. Positioning the Generator:

Place the generator on a firm, level surface outdoors, at least 20 feet (6 meters) away from any buildings or other equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation and clear exhaust path.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine:

  1. Ensure the generator is on a level surface and all electrical loads are disconnected.
  2. Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
  3. Move the engine switch to the "START" position.
  4. If the engine is cold, move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position.
  5. Pull the recoil starter handle firmly and smoothly until the engine starts.
  6. Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
  7. Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical loads.

Connecting Electrical Devices:

  • Ensure the generator is running stably.
  • Plug your electrical devices into the appropriate outlets on the control panel.
  • Do not exceed the generator's rated running wattage (2200W) or starting wattage (2700W).
  • For sensitive electronics, ensure the Economy Mode is engaged for stable power output.

Stopping the Engine:

  1. Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
  2. Allow the engine to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
  3. Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
  4. Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.

Parallel Operation:

The SUA2700i is parallel equipped and comes with parallel cables, allowing you to connect two identical SUA2700i units for increased power output. Refer to the dedicated parallel kit instructions for detailed setup and operation procedures. NOTICE: Do not connect or disconnect parallel cables while the unit is running to avoid damage.
