5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off and Self-Leveling

  1. Place the laser on a stable surface or mount it securely.
  2. Slide the power switch to the "ON" position. The laser will automatically begin self-leveling.
  3. Wait for the laser lines to stabilize. If the unit is outside its self-leveling range, the laser lines will blink rapidly. Adjust the unit's position until the lines become solid.
  4. To power off, slide the power switch to the "OFF" position. This will also lock the pendulum for transport.

5.2 Selecting Laser Modes

The laser features multiple modes for various applications:

  • Horizontal Line: Projects a 360° horizontal line.
  • Vertical Line(s): Projects one or more 360° vertical lines.
  • Cross-Line: Projects intersecting horizontal and vertical lines.
  • Use the mode selection buttons on the unit to cycle through the available laser configurations.

5.3 Fine Adjustment Knob

For precise alignment of plumb lines, use the fine adjustment knob located on the unit. This allows for micro-tuning to achieve exact positioning.

5.4 Using the Laser Detector (DW0892G)

For long-range visibility up to 330 ft (100m) or in bright conditions, use the included laser detector.

  1. Ensure the 9V battery is installed in the detector.
  2. Turn on the laser detector.
  3. Move the detector along the projected laser line. The detector will emit an audible tone and display visual indicators when it detects the laser beam, helping you pinpoint its exact location.
