This device is designed to provide efficient and quiet cleaning for your in-ground swimming pool, effectively removing dirt and debris from the pool floor and walls. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure proper use and maintenance.

2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions:

  • Ensure the pool pump is turned off before installing, removing, or performing any maintenance on the cleaner.
  • Do not allow children to play with the pool cleaner or its components.
  • Keep hands and hair clear of the cleaner's moving parts when the pump is operating.
  • This cleaner is designed for in-ground pools. Do not use it in above-ground pools unless specifically stated by the manufacturer.
  • The cleaner requires a minimum 3/4 HP swimming pool pump or a minimum flow of 6.5m³/hour (1700 gal/hr). Ensure your pump meets these specifications.

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble and set up your VINGLI 911 pool vacuum cleaner:

  1. Connect Hoses: Attach the durable hoses together to achieve the necessary length for your pool. The total hose length should allow the cleaner to reach all areas of your pool.
  2. Attach Cleaner Head: Connect one end of the hose assembly to the VINGLI 911 cleaner head.
  3. Install Regulator Valve: Insert the regulator valve into the skimmer or dedicated suction line. Ensure it is securely fitted to prevent air leaks.
  4. Connect to Filtration System: Attach the other end of the hose assembly to the regulator valve in your pool's filtration system.
  5. Adjust Hose Weights: Place the hose weights along the hose to ensure the cleaner sits flush with the pool floor. Adjust the position of the weights as needed, especially in the deepest part of the pool, to prevent the cleaner from floating or getting stuck.
Assembling the VINGLI Pool Cleaner

Important Note: This automatic wall climb cleaning requires at least a 3/4 HP swimming pool pump or a minimum flow of 6.5m³/hour (1700 gal/hr) for optimal performance.

5. Operating Instructions

Once assembled and connected, follow these steps to operate your VINGLI 911 pool vacuum cleaner:

  1. Submerge Cleaner: Gently lower the cleaner into the pool, ensuring all air is expelled from the hose and cleaner head.
  2. Start Pump: Turn on your pool pump. The cleaner will begin to move across the pool floor and walls, collecting dirt and debris.
  3. Adjust Suction: If the cleaner is too sluggish or too aggressive, adjust the regulator valve to control the suction power. A balanced suction ensures efficient movement and cleaning.
  4. Monitor Movement: Observe the cleaner's movement. It should move along the pool surfaces without getting stuck frequently. The wheel deflector assists in navigating corners.

The VINGLI 911 is designed for quiet operation, allowing you to clean your pool without excessive noise. It effectively removes fine dirt and debris but is not designed to pick up large leaves or similar items.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pool cleaner:

  • Check Diaphragm: Inspect the diaphragm regularly, especially if the cleaner's performance decreases. Ensure there is no gap inside and no small rocks are stuck. The diaphragm typically lasts about 200 hours of use.
  • Clean Pump and Skimmer Baskets: Regularly clean and empty the pump basket and skimmer/weir basket to maintain proper water flow and suction.
  • Clean Filtration System: Thoroughly clean your pool's filtration system (sand/cartridge filters) according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Inspect Regulator Valve: Check the regulator valve for any debris build-up and flush it if necessary.
  • Check Mat: Inspect the cleaner's mat for wear and ensure the curved tips are facing upwards for correct operation.
  • Inspect Hoses: Check the hoses for blockages or leaks. You can test for leaks by lifting each section above water while the pump is running.
Diaphragm Inspection

How to Replace the Diaphragm:

  1. Unscrew the yellow retaining ring.
  2. Remove the clear tube and old diaphragm.
  3. Insert the new diaphragm into the clear tube.
  4. Reassemble the components, ensuring the diaphragm is correctly seated.

7. Troubleshooting

Refer to the following common issues and their solutions:

Problem: Cleaner is sluggish or has stopped operating.

  • Check if the pump is ON and/or primed.
  • Check the cleaner head for blockages.
  • Clean and empty the pump basket and skimmer/weir basket.
  • Ensure the filtration system is thoroughly cleaned (sand/cartridge filters).
  • Inspect the regulator valve and flush away any debris build-up.
  • Check the mat for wear.
  • Make sure the curved tips of the mat are facing upwards.
  • Ensure that the skimmer/weir vacuum lid is fitted correctly and check for cracks.
  • Check the hose for blockages.
  • Check the hose for leaks by lifting each section above water while the pump is running.
  • If the cleaner stops when it reaches the surface of the pool, adjust the regulating valve to lower the suction.

Problem: Cleaner travels in a repetitive pattern or gets stuck.

  • Adjust return jets downwards to influence water flow.
  • Verify proper hose length. The hose should be long enough to reach all areas of the pool but not excessively long to cause tangling.
  • Ensure the cleaner sits flush with the pool floor. Adjust the position of hose weights if necessary. This adjustment should be done at the deepest part of the pool.
  • Remove or add one hose section to optimize length.
  • Inspect the regulator valve and flush away any debris build-up.
  • Check that the hose sections are straight; if not, lay the hose in a straight line in the sun to relax its memory and straighten it.
  • Twist each hose section a half-turn at each connection point to help prevent tangling.
